Smart technologists whom I otherwise respect: Game streaming will never work! Latency! It's just physics! Speed of light! Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb!
Me, with 45-year-old reflexes, having hardly gamed in my 20s or 30s: I don't know what to tell you, man. I played exactly three 100-player matches of #Fortnite tonight, all streamed ON WIFI, and came in 2nd (with 12 eliminations), 6th (with 17 eliminations), and 1st (with 9 eliminations). They've figured it out. It works.
#Fortnite maker Epic Games has prevailed in an #antitrust trial over Alphabet’s #Google Play app marketplace, Epic chief executive Tim Sweeney said on Monday, hours after the federal jury took up the case.
It's basically minecraft with a nicer general aesthetic but none of the quality of life stuff I'm sure minecraft has had for the last few years (certainly, Terraria does)
I don't love mixing lego aesthetic with others, tbh
Lego Fortnite is such a breath of fresh air. I've gotten so bored of just shooting people in the face. Having this cute open world to just build stuff in is just so much more my speed.
Don't get me wrong. I still like getting my pew pew on, but it's not my preferred main way I want to get XP.
I suspect I'll be spending most of my time with this season with the new game modes.
Well, that might be it for me on #FortniteOG. The big event is tonight, and after that the update to the next chapter. When they launched the "OG" season, I felt like a month was too short, but frankly now that we're at the end of it, I think this was exactly right.
There were rumors they might leave it around as a game mode, and I would be fine with that. And frankly, I hope they do it again (whether revisiting Chapter 1 or the others). But I'm ready to move on.
Let's start our day off with our usual #MorningMoments and find out what everyone is up to today.
For me, it's just a relaxing day today. We have a live Eminem event in Fortnite to end the chapter and the season and then it's into Chapter 5 Season 1: Underground.
