@massivelyop All of them still are my mains (OK, it's a bit biased in #TSW because you aren't stuck in a "class" per se, but I was #TeamBlue from the start - only did a templar and a dragon for the introduction)(and I don't play #GW2 anymore, but I would stick to my thief if I decided to go back to it)
Yeah so... I am getting scatterbrained lately. I just realized that I did not actually share my morning post.
Basically this morning I talked about wrapping up the final Challenge in #PathOfExile that I planned on going for... my hunt for the Cat Chair in #GW2 that I literally just posted a picture of getting... and my thoughts about the #Diablo4 season start.
@massivelyop I don't like the "endgame" concept because what's endgame? level cap? raiding? at which tier? Are dailies endgame?
Plus, I like MMORPGs that are about the journey (#LOTRO, #TSW)
That said, I liked the #GW2 approach that let you experience some of the "endgame" content (mostly the PvP/WvW experience) while still lower level (I did most of my levelling there...)
It is fine. It also challenges players to be creative and patient in solving the obstacles to reach places.
It is why, many of us core #GuildWars2 players often recommends for new players to play the core game without gliding and any mounts even if they can unlock it already. This teaches the players how #GW2 works, especially when it comes to jumping puzzles and hard to reach places.
Oftentimes, in Guild Wars 2 at least, maps and puzzles made with flying in mind, were made similarly the way the early maps (without mounts) were made: make it very challenging that will require the player to be creative and fire up all those neurons in their brains.
And gliding is a perfect halfway through full-blown flying (as #WorldOfWarcraft offers). You still have to be creative and use those neurons.
To sideline, GW2 doesn't exactly have a full-blown flying mount like #WoW. The next step in “flying” after gliding, is the Gryphon. It's very fast “gliding” mount. Like gliding, Gryphon mounts work best when you are up high, so you can enable its speed mode (which is technically the fastest in the game).
Then the Skyscale mount is the best flying mount in GW2, which is still not a full-blown flying mount. You can't just fly all you want, you still have to find ways to climb because the Skyscale's stamina is limited. The higher you go, the faster it is consumed, and the less the Skyscale can store.
If #Palia will introduce something similar to GW2's mounts, then gliding is a very good start to practice. Just like in GW2, gliding was the first form of flying before the Gryphon and Skyscale were introduced.
So, yes, it is good to have gliding. It is also a good sign that the devs will not introduce a full-blown flying mount the way WoW did.
The Plush Vulpine Skin was a brief to take the previous Jackal Skin, and recreate it as if it were a soft plush toy. With special attention given to aligning the design with the previous plush designs and material specs.
Happy Lunar New Year! Wanted to do something small to celebrate - no requirements, just check the screenshot and it's open to whoever claims them first. 400 each (800 total).
I wish you luck and happiness during the Year of the Dragon!
LWS4 is bloody good. I was having an emotion when <spoiler>Aurene got branded and then rose from the dead with a joke about eating a lich having its advantages.</spoiler>
Even though obviously she wasn't going to be dead, it still worked. Well done, writerlings. A long way from the "kill 3 rats but it's important" of most MMO writing.
if i could have anything gw2 lore wise, i'd want to get my grubby mitts on a copy of trahearne's personal journal. you know he would have an entry in there like "saw a snail today... truly effervescent. we must all overcome obstacles as it overcame the rock face upon which it crawled..." he spent 4 hours watching that snail slime around. laying on his stomach kicking his legs like a schoolgirl doing homework on her bed. yeah this happened in orr i think, i was there actually.
So I've been trying to get my first elite specilization for guardian over the last couple of weeks and with a awesome train Friday was able to build firebender! Now onto Druid for healer! #GW2
Morning Folks! Last night I got everything ready for the #PathOfExile private league we are doing for #Affliction and then this morning I crafted my very first #GuildWars2 legendary weapon thanks in part to the Wizard's Vault.
Morning Folks! This is a bit of a round-up post as I talk about restarting #BaldursGate3 as a Ranger, properly starting the #GW2 SOTO Expansion, and then my daily process of chipping away at my backlog of jobs in #FFXIV
When you leave FFXIV to play a different a MMO, Character Creation becomes a lot more important. Your locked into a single or dual class system, instead being able to play all the classes depending on what you feel like. #FFXIV#GW2
Per some great advice from here yesterday, I checked the group finder last night in #GuildWars2 and lo and behold there was a group for a zone meta!
Ran the Elon Riverlands meta. Everyone as always as friendly and chill, and the whole thing went super smooth. I had done it before but I still got a few new achievements out of the run. And I ticked off on of the weekly wizard tower objectives.
Really enjoying #GW2 right now, even two expansions behind.
@massivelyop No I don't, as my guildmates on the different MMOs I played don't overlap generally (even if I went to #GW2 through a guildmate from #LOTRO and tried a couple of games with old friends from Les Chapitres d'Estel - not an actual kin, but a gathering of roleplayers on the late Estel server)
