A possible explanation as to why I have been feeling so awful this week.
Influenza A+B, and RS virus all sharplu increased this week in exactly the Copenhagen region.

It's like a holy trinity of viruses. Wonder which one(s) I've got.. 😷🤒😷🤒🤔😷

2 Maps of Denmark shaded in grades of orange to indicate the rate of transmission of Influenza A+B at the top and RS virus bottom. In both the area around Copenhagen is shaded dark red

Climate change is making fungal diseases more deadly for humans, animals, and plants. A new study shows that rising temperatures and CO2 levels are increasing the virulence and spread of fungal pathogens. The study calls for more research and action to prevent and treat fungal infections, which could threaten global health and food security. https://www.popsci.com/environment/climate-change-fungal-diseases/

Currently reading another book on quantum physics that I can’t recommend to my father because it’s full of references to memes that he won’t get, and will find either silly or confusing. Not the first time.

Something to consider when you are writing a pop sci book and you are trying to make it accessible to all.

This needs hashtags, any suggestions?

The idea of the Wood Wide Web - that trees communicate with each other via a network of symbiotic fungi in their roots - has become increasingly popular over the last few years. But turns out it might be entirely false.

A fascinating read by some of the very people who helped spread that idea in the first place. Now this is science.
