I couldn't find this manual or the schematics within online, so I bought a hard copy. What's the best way to scan this for upload to the Internet Archive?
I'm looking into getting a new #tape drive for another level of #backups. (My main storage is 16 TB and I already have an additional array as a first layer of backup. Cloud backups are off the table due to the sheer volume of data I have.) I'm debating whether I should get LTO-9 or LTO-6.
The reason why LTO-6 is on the table is because I have some LTO-4 WORM tapes from a few years back with much older data that I don't have anywhere else that I'd like to be able to read from. LTO-6 is the newest version that would be able to read those.
Hi, audio and tech people. I'm trying to find manuals for Radio Shack's old Optimus car cassette decks from the mid to late 90s, for a project I'm working on. If anyone could help point me in the correct direction, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Analyse de pannes d'une chaîne #Hifi#Pioneer XR-P670F : changeur 25 CD hésitant + double lecteur #K7 inopérant.
Après ouverture : 9 CD du changeur sont tombés partout dans le mécanisme et ça bloque le chariot de lecture (les CD sont rangés verticalement et donc il faut vider le changeur avant de déplacer la machine …)
Accès pas trop compliqué à la mécanique K7 : 4 courroies à changer (3 courroies fondues ...).
Ça va être du sport de les replacer correctement 😅
Et c’est partit pour mettre la cassette sur l’utilisation du Minitel en cuisson à 55°C pendant 48h pour pouvoir tenter de la numériser après #tape#cassette#bandeMagnetique#stickyshed

C’est joli mais c’est pas hyper phosphorescent et ça dure pas longtemps
A recent deep dive into #slystone ’s post-68 discography, including his wild Stone Flower #productions, has got me itching to rent a cheap little furnished #studio somewhere for a weekend and roll #tape with just a #drummachine as drummer and my brain as a foggy sort of #band. #Keys, #samples and #echoes. Maybe a muttered vocal.
But such places probably no longer exist. One can #dream!
