Fantastic game of this afternoon! I won with my Orks, 71 to 56, against some nasty Salamanders, with the Dread Mob detachment (without a Stompa this time).

Awesome moments included me missing 10 shots hitting on 4+ with my Meka Dread, all my Meganobz and Big Mek dying to one round of Hellblaster shooting even with 4+ invulnerable saves, 2 vehicles also exploded, which is always fun, and my gretchin were massacred by a flyer in one volley, which is also always fun 😂

Some of the goodies I picked up yesterday at the Exeter Legionary Wargames Show. Some classic 2nd edition Gretchin and Space Marine scouts, some Bolt Action Australians, and some of the classic paints, including Goblin Green.... let's hope they still work.

WIP: Lotara Sarrin

I must have knocked her over by accident because at some point her judgemental finger fell off. Time to check the bits for a spare Necron finger to replace it with. I'm pleased with the clothing, need to shade and layer the face and the door she is standing on feels like it could use some rust.

Need to get back in the habit of taking pictures as I go. Last month's free mini is on the desk currently, along with a Scout Kill Team and some Blood Angels Terminators.

Well, my game didn’t go well, as I tried out a dumb Dread Mob list with a Stompa! Sisters of Battle wrecked the poor thing with multi meltas, and did the same to my Gorkanaut in the same turn.

Losing half my army in one turn left me struggling, we finished the game on 53 to 75. I drew horrendous secondaries that I could never score, and my poor Ork boyz got slaughtered by the Triumph of Saint Katherine. Still, insanely fun game, and the Stompa exploding caused a lot of damage!

The last two Fellgor are done! My Kill Team is ready to wreak havoc. 😊
I like how the gradient on the shield turned out. And the colour of the cloth parts. And the psyker eyes.

I really enjoyed painting them and I learned a lot. Especially how I want to develop my own handwriting in miniature painting moving forward.

I have so much to learn! Very exciting.

The silly thing I did 25+ years ago was decide to paint each individual harlequin in different colors. No uniform army, each gets to be unique.

So I’ve got 5-10 models I need to paint, and I could use color scheme suggestions. Bright, queer, fabulous, delightful colors.

What should I paint?

Tennoji has just confirmed one of its male has, in fact, been female all this time. When will players finally riot?

"...A DNA test was carried out after zookeepers noticed that 12-year-old Gen-chan did not display typical male hippo behaviour.

"Gen-chan arrived in Osaka from Mexico in 2017, and customs documents at the time said she was male..."

I played a game yesterday with my golden boys vs my friend’s Salamanders.

That was my first win in 4 games with the Custodes (admittedly, pre-Codex), the game ended after my turn 3 and before his, as he basically had no way of scoring anymore, and I had a 24 points lead, so he conceded. That was a fun game, I lost a ton of models, he did too, a slugging match!
No weird secondaries to handle, just a good, fun game for a change!

Predator tank conversion.

Heavily modified for my personal army/collection.

External:
Changed the engine layout,
Added custom sponsons,
Spaced armour,
Bits and pieces,
Working hatches,
Dozer blade...

Internal:
Fully decorated,
Ork driver (plugged in, VR set up),
Tyranid gunner (lots of re-posing)...

This one took months to complete.
Many of the details are

Rear / side view of the Predator tank. The PR1CK (prick) graffiti is a reference to Rik Mayall, who passed away during the making of the tank (unrelated).
High angle view of the Predator tank. Showing that all the hatches and guns are fully mobile.
Front / side view of the Predator tank. The HR Giger freehand graffiti is a homage to the Master who passed away during the making of the tank (also unrelated).

DrH,
@DrH@warhammer.social avatar

More photos of my Predator tank conversion.

The dozer blade is made from plasticard, heated and bent into shape.

The support structure is mostly plastic sprue and the pistons are plastic rod/tube.

The dozer blade can actually be removed, leaving the frame behind. The idea being that I could create different blades.
I have not got around to making any more.

Top side of the Dozer blade.
Underside of the tank and dozer blade.
Left side from low angle of the Predator tank.

Refinery?

So named (with the ?) as it reminds me of a refinery, but I had no idea what I was building as it was built.

Scratch-built from household junk and a few kit parts.

Space Marine for scale.

High angle view of the front of the refinery. A door is visible, flanked by posters; one a warning the other an advert for engineers.
Low angle scale shot of the refinery with a space marine miniature.
High angle view of the less busy side of the refinery.

Closer views of the pipework above the "Refinery?".

The support structure is made from plastic sprue pieces and thin wire.
Attached together in such a way to make the odd shape "kind of" make sense.

Ol' one toof.

For this Nob I wanted to create an ork that was the least "comic relief" I could.

In addition to a slight re-posing and modifications to the weapons, I also bulked up the body with some epoxy putty: add a blob to each existing muscle and smooth it in.

I also opened the jaw wider. This left only one tooth and a lip ring. Ol' one toof was born.
The boss pole also reflects this.

Then add a touch of blood from the last person that laughed.

Side views of an Ork Nob charging onwards. Arm raised and a boss pole on their back.

Should give you an idea of the bulking up he's had.

Plague Marine squad.

In addition to fixing some of the mould/casting limitations, I also reposed and added various details to this squad.
The basing includes dying grass around their feet.

A squad of plague marine stand ready to accept you.

DrH,
@DrH@warhammer.social avatar

The third Plague Marine of this squad.

The right hand has been rotated from stock to give a more agressive look.

And I added a tentacle as per theme, and it's holding a skull-grenade.
