Last #superbowl it was in #phoenix, and it was a crap show when a ln affluent non-native who owns a native gallery in old town #scottsdale showed his #racist side and started harassing #indigenous performers.

He wasn’t charged and the police closed the investigation. I swear, superbowl brings out so much racism toward Natives. I hope both teams lose this year lol!

Today is the first day of #NavajoNation Council’s winter session. I was hoping I’d see the recognition of same-sex #marriage bill on the agenda but nope. The sponsor of the bill is resigning from council and will be sworn in tomorrow as #deputysecretary of #indianaffairs for #NewMexico.

So, I’m not sure what will happen to that legislation even though there is a co-sponsor. I’ve been covering this bill.

Working on my Lakeside Middle School in Idaho presentation for tomorrow morning, as I wait for a reporter to send in his article for me to edit tonight.

That is me jumping from the top of the #WindowRock. My former colleague, photojournalist Cable Hoover, took this pic in 2015 while we were on assignment. Still one of my favorite pics.

Last year, I did a series on the Native vote for the #pulitzercenter and that series is what I’ll be discussing with these kiddos.
