Media debates about education rarely include kids--the ones going to school and dealing with the daily fallout of arguments had about them but without them.
What children are, mainly, is fodder -- proof of this or that argument. No one wants reporters to shove microphones in a 10-year-old’s face. But if you’re doing a story about children, shouldn’t you be at least a little bit interested in ...children?
