I’m literally obsessed with the way the pine tree holds light. The pine needles, the leaking sap, the spiderwebs - they all contribute to a magical ever changing light that is so much fun to try to capture. My family wonders how I can be out there taking pix of the same bird in the same tree. Obviously it’s NEVER the same but they don’t get it 😆

So far what I’ve learnt about macro photography is it requires a lot of patience and doing the same thing over and over. But I’m used to it—I’m a bass player.

Some guy at the Reserve let his leashed dog into the sensitive habitat area. I usually don’t say anything because it’s never that these people are unaware of the rules, they just don’t care (along w the area’s general reputation as home of violent right wing racists). But I was so annoyed this time and I said “that’s so uncool” to which he responded “thanks bro!” I didn’t want to start anything but I said “You know I’m right bro. Do better bro.” Man I hate people.
