I really want to love this more than I am as it works up.

I'm really hoping like, more progress and blocking works miracles.

It's the same yarn as the pattern, but idk, it looks SO messy and blaaaah to me. Maybe I'm just too close to it. And maybe the yarn will really look great after blocking.

Hoping it will be nice to wear this autumn.

@MsHearthWitch How about putting a swat h through some iaces? I just myself had to face reality on Romi Hill's MKAL - C2 was not gonna cut it, had to frog a lot, then new C2 was too lightweight and sad to see, so I frogged THAT too. So yet another stash dive, and whaddya know, at the VETY BOTTOM I found the perfect C2 in color, weight and spin. I'm really glad I held out for a choice that was truly right, and recommend it if you can bring yourself to rip it out. Good luck, sistah! ☺️💞

PS: I think fingering weight is just fine for bigger bodies like ours. It's like sheets, the higher the thread count per inch the stronger the fabric. It all comes down to # of plies, overall spin, fiber content, and stitch count. That's why mummies are wrapped in very fine thread count cotton, meant to last the ages. Or so I learned, somewhere. Museum of Natural History?

Yesterday's knitting. In the end, both flights home were delayed (related to weather grounding everything around O'Hare airport for a while) so we were tired but we made it home!

Kiddo says Iowa was way more boring than most places we visit and he would like to never go back. 😂 The highlight of the trip for him was the milkable cow exhibit at the Children's Museum. He named the statue Bessie.

Running for re-election in TX Senate, a very impressive up and comer in politics - Molly Cook. Also an ER nurse, with masters in public health. A successful 1st term under her belt. And first LGBTQ+ member of the TX state legislature. Molly Ivins may she RIP would have loved her.

Really enjoying working on my test-knit cardigan.

None of the other testers use a two-colour scheme, but I'm using teal fingering weight wool, and some cotton/nylon/wool lace weight light blue.

I really love it so far, very addictive knit.

Yesterday I started knitting again after years of not knitting a single stitch. I forgot how much I love it. 😁🧶

@nobyeni @knitting Tough one. The top part seems "cooler's, the bottom one "warmer." So I guess it comes down to skin tone. If I had to use other words, I'd say top one is more crisp, more nautical, bottom one more earthy. Hope that is helpful!
