Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. People need to stop saying that was written in 's image. That is not true.

Believe it or not, Trump is a pawn for the conservative far right who wrote the mandate. Trump couldn't care less about Project2025. All he cares about is money and power.

Project2025 will exist with or without Trump. It was written for the NEXT conservative President. That is one of the first sentences in the mandate. Trump's name is mentioned less than a dozen times in all 962 pages. 1/6

Here's another thing to consider: If Trump reaches the office, he will use the Heritage Foundation & Federalist Society, including SCOTUS, until they no longer serve HIS purpose. Then he will discard those who don't meet his needs. The same is true of all the men & women in Congress who are kissing his ass now. What does he need Congress for once in power? All he needs is a way to control the military & the treasury. Once that's done, the rest will be discarded. He may keep some, but not all 2/6

Dictators rule by fear, not legislation. A dictator makes up the laws, not Congress.

Some of his biggest challenges will be assuming control of banks and infrastructure such as airports and other forms of transportation, plus supply chains. Once that's accomplished, it will be truly over for the citizenry. That's where Project2025 comes in. He will use those people to establish control. But once done, he will put his people in place, not theirs. 3/6

You should expect to see people like Jared and Ivanka, Don, Jr, Eric and even Barron. He will set up a dynasty.

Too many people are treating him as though he will just be a bad President, finish 4 years or die, then go away so we can start over again. When we should be thinking more along the lines of North Korea or China where families take control & pass power from one member to the next for generations.

We haven't heard much from Mike Flynn lately. Why do you think that is? 4/6

This was a fun one, so let's do it again. What is something you've learned that seems unlikely, even though you know it's true? Here's one I think about a lot:

Sight, while being something something many people are born with, is not an innate ability, but something we learn to do. People who were born blind or were blind for a long time, who get sight, have to learn to see.

@RickiTarr Babies are born ambidextrous and don't usually show a preference until they are about 18 months old, although, some do so sooner. Caregivers can "push" a child into choosing right vs left.

@realTuckFrumper Criticize her all you want. She's not wrong. The money that gets paid to members of Congress from religious organizations controls much more than anyone is willing to admit. Democrats have controlled the Presidency and both chambers of congress more than once in the last 2 decades, and they did nothing to protect women's rights and the rights of members of the LGBTQ community. Money is power and your representatives and senators and mine like that money.

This case is from 1993, but shows that a Circuit Court has set precedent for removing a federal judge. It's a lot to read. Granted this was a long time ago & a different political climate & very different defendant

My point was, and is, that the Third Circuit, at that time, removed him of their own accord, which was the question, proving a precedent. I can handle criticism if it is offered with honesty and after a full reading of my statement(s). Yours does not do that.

Kendra Kingsbury’s case was similar to Trump’s initial transgressions, though less egregious. She received four years

Lawyer David McBride received 5 years 8 months for sharing classified material

Trump is free to threaten any judge and jury he pleases.

Do you have a friend or family member who works for the fed government in any capacity? Do you know someone who owns a business or works for a business that has government contracts that are its main source of revenue?

If Trump makes it back to the White House, GOP intends, within 1st 120 days, to purge most government agencies. The agencies that remain open will be staffed ONLY w/conservative loyalists. Detractors will be fired.

Taxes should be the least of Trump voters worries

@peachfront @GottaLaff I'm not sure if a defendant facing prison nods off. I know I wouldn't. I would want to hear every word spoken and see every facial expression. But that's me. Perhaps Trump thinks he isn't going to be convicted. Maybe he knows something the rest of us don't. Who knows? Whatever the reason, it disrespectful to the jury and the judge.

People shouldn't be calling for Alito's or Thomas' recusal(s). We should be calling - insisting - that they resign.

They are the epitome of unethical, biased and of poor moral character. They are both politically compromised.

The fact that "Chief" Justice Roberts is doing nothing is barely more reassuring. The opinions coming from the court are garbage and the "rule of law" has been tossed. Why should anyone adhere to any decision coming from them?

@Saltssaltgirl My daughter has taught social studies (mostly American History, regular, honors & AP) for 17 years. Here she is a few days ago with some of her students. I am so proud of her. She is a great teacher full of empathy, compassion and an honest desire to see her students achieve success. In my mind, there is not a job more important than teaching kids.

Okay, since I'm on laundry today, a little story.

When hubs and I first got married, we were very much enjoying our little Honeymoon Bubble, and we were being lazy as Hell. We didn't do many chores, but the laundry we really let go. We weren't wearing many clothes at home anyway, so why bother. Anyhow, after weeks we finally reached the swimming suit bottoms situation, and decided it was time. It was loads and loads of laundry that needed done, so I had my husband back the trunk of the car up to a window of the house, then he popped the trunk, and I started tossing laundry out of the window into the trunk. We went to the bank, got about $30 bucks in quarters, and found the emptiest laundry mat we could, and did it all in one fell swoop. We folded it all and loaded it back into the car using those wheeled laundry carts. We never let it get that bad again, and decided it was time to be adults, and do regular chores, but it still makes me laugh imagining what the neighbors and the laundry attendant thought.

@RickiTarr My 80+ yo dad & stepmom slept in an oversized king bed & used a quilt for the top cover. When visiting I always tried to help w/chores. My dad assured me the quilt could be washed in his washing machine. Against my better judgment, I stuffed it in & started the water. It didn't take long for the washer to become overwhelmed & start spewing water from underneath. Now I had a gigantic wet quilt that weighed about 50 pounds. I hauled it to the laundromat to use an equally giant machine.

After in November, Congress must immediately begin the process of writing legislation to protect the rights that are threatened & return those that have been taken away.

If we, as a country, don't step up & reject the monetization that has controlled our government for decades, we will lose in 2028

We said before 2020 that we must vote to protect democracy & because Congress was taken over by Republicans, the goals we worked for haven't been achieved. We won't get another chance
