Forgiving yourself can be much harder than forgiving other people. I'm not there yet. I have a tendency to share more personal information than I should or that anyone wants to hear. My first grade teacher's message on my first report card said, "Patty talks too much". Some things never change. I have strong opinions and usually don't mind sharing them. Okay, since I'm on laundry today, a little story.

When hubs and I first got married, we were very much enjoying our little Honeymoon Bubble, and we were being lazy as Hell. We didn't do many chores, but the laundry we really let go. We weren't wearing many clothes at home anyway, so why bother. Anyhow, after weeks we finally reached the swimming suit bottoms situation, and decided it was time. It was loads and loads of laundry that needed done, so I had my husband back the trunk of the car up to a window of the house, then he popped the trunk, and I started tossing laundry out of the window into the trunk. We went to the bank, got about $30 bucks in quarters, and found the emptiest laundry mat we could, and did it all in one fell swoop. We folded it all and loaded it back into the car using those wheeled laundry carts. We never let it get that bad again, and decided it was time to be adults, and do regular chores, but it still makes me laugh imagining what the neighbors and the laundry attendant thought.

@RickiTarr My 80+ yo dad & stepmom slept in an oversized king bed & used a quilt for the top cover. When visiting I always tried to help w/chores. My dad assured me the quilt could be washed in his washing machine. Against my better judgment, I stuffed it in & started the water. It didn't take long for the washer to become overwhelmed & start spewing water from underneath. Now I had a gigantic wet quilt that weighed about 50 pounds. I hauled it to the laundromat to use an equally giant machine.

After in November, Congress must immediately begin the process of writing legislation to protect the rights that are threatened & return those that have been taken away.

If we, as a country, don't step up & reject the monetization that has controlled our government for decades, we will lose in 2028

We said before 2020 that we must vote to protect democracy & because Congress was taken over by Republicans, the goals we worked for haven't been achieved. We won't get another chance

Where did money come from. There is also a discrepancy about her mother's reported asylum from Cuba. How did a 15 yo, a sister & mom get money & VISAs to relocate to the US? Who paid for all her expensive education? How did she buy a house in Michigan AND Florida?

@GottaLaff Well that sounds like my state of Nevada where mail in ballots must be postmarked by midnight on Election Day, but can be counted if recv'd W/I 4 days.

Now consider-Louis DeJoy, remember him, has decided that the main USPS distribution ctr located in Reno will be moved to Sacramento, CA b4 Election Day. That means ballots mailed in Reno & northern cities in NV will go to Sacramento 1st then returned to Reno for delivery slowing it a lot. Caveat - Northern NV is heavy w/GOP voters

@QasimRashid I will talk shit about Israel anytime I please. My problem is not w/Jews as a group. My problem is with the leader of one country, religion aside, brutalizing & murdering innocent people. I'm sick & tired of being told I must protect Jews, Christians, Muslims or any other religious group. If a religious group, or any other group, adopts a stance that includes brutality and murder as one of their tenets, then I'll talk shit about them too.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for Supreme Court Justice to be impeached, and says that she is willing to draft and introduce articles of impeachment herself.

She said in the announcement:

"I just think that if no one's going to introduce it, I would certainly be open to doing so and drafting them myself." She added, "I think this has gone far, far beyond any sort of acceptable standard in any democracy, let alone an American democracy."

A story about my mom and Trump.

My mom was an executive assistant for two Jewish brothers who ran a construction company in the '80s. They were in competition with Trump on some real estate deal and lost out to him. For some reason they had to make a pilgrimage to Trump Tower to go on bended knee. When one of the brothers introduced mom, Trump his usual graceful manner said, “Which one of these two Jews did you have fuck to get your job?”.

@Wileymiller @GottaLaff I heard a a young woman recall how Trump forced her dad, an electrician, into bankruptcy when she was a child. Trump refused to pay him. They lost their home & worse.

@qurlyjoe @GottaLaff @Wileymiller Please don't misunderstand BUT this is what Trump relies on - people who are afraid to speak out. It's how he gets away with the behavior. Fear and lawsuits. That's why you take the story to a news reporter. They do the vetting and get legal counsel. We have to stop being afraid of him.
