Comparing the 33rpm 140g from National Album Day last year to the new 2x45rpm 180g recut remaster thing from Analogue Productions and Holy Crap what a difference! The sheer depth to the 2x45rpm really brings out what an album this is. It deserves the work. Playing this Loud

Tell me a silly/funny childhood story!

I'll start:

One time in Sunday School, the teacher was talking about the difference between humans and animals, and mentioned that Animals had Tails and humans didn't. I let her know this was not true, because my Dad had a tail, just in the front, instead of the back. The teacher was silent for several seconds, and tried to correct me in a church appropriate way, but I doubled down, and insisted that my little brothers also had front tails too. This got so heated that the teacher had to go get my parents to take me out of Sunday School.

People are so insufferable. There's a petition going around my neighborhood (eyeroll immediately) about opposing new aprtments. It's clearly run by MAGA types. The opposition is veiled in school safety and better education but you can probably figure out the real reasons of entitlement and racism.

The hilarious part is they pretend to care about schools but continue to vote for Republicans all over this state who not only don't care about that but also want to crush public schools for good.

I was walking in my neighborhood today and I was going to talk to somebody in their front yard about something on their house. As I got closer I noticed he was wearing a MAGA hat and I just kept on walking.

This is why I really love the MAGA gear. People love to announce who they are and I appreciate it.

A couple thoughts about Mastodon passing 15mm accounts.

I'm glad people are still adding accounts here but the numbers remain pretty modest compared to most other platforms. It also took waaaaaay longer to get from 14 to 15 than it did to go from 13 to 14mm. Growth has definitely slowed, at least for now.

Most importantly, the true important number is monthly active users. I haven't seen a good source for this lately but it seems somewhere between 1 and 2mm. Far less than the 15mm.

I had to get at least one of these AC/DC 50 year anniversary gold variants.

I wanted more but they were more than I wanted to spend. Now that I've seen and heard one - sounds Fn fantastic - I may need to rethink that. Especially since I still have gaps in my AC/DC collection that I need to fix.

This was my top album that I didn't own yet.
Really awesome variant.

And Thunderstruck always makes me think of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders intro. 🤘😍
