Evangelical Christians have started camping right outside our apartment building, loudly preaching and singing through a megaphone. They’re now there almost every day and it’s especially difficult to deal with as I work from home.

Does anyone know if this is legal in Germany? I know it isn’t during official quiet hours but it’s extremely loud and disruptive, and I’m sure they don’t have a protest permit.

Honestly, sometimes evangelicals act like they want absolutely everyone to hate them…

• “Cringe” and “based” are banned on penalty of death

GERMANY HAS PASSED SELF-ID LAWS!

The Federal Republic joins 20 countries which have passed laws allowing people to declare their own legal gender. I hope someday this will apply across the whole EU.

On a more personal level, this means I can finally change my own legal gender to #nonbinary 🎉🏳️‍⚧️

I’m an immigrant to Germany having moved here 14 years ago. I gained my citizenship in 2020. Most of my friends here are immigrants. My partner is an immigrant. It’s been truly frightening to hear the far-right planning mass deportations of naturalised citizens.

But 1.5 million people marched against that today. 350,000 demonstrated in #Berlin alone. That gives me so much hope. Tolerant people are not a minority, and we won’t let them frame it that way. Never, ever again.

Now ban the AfD.

#Berlin has another march against these people today at 4pm, outside the Bundestag. Whether you're left-wing, centrist, or conservative, democracy is in urgent need of defence.

Berlin public transit company BVG have put their fares up AGAIN.

Thousands of Berliners have been jailed because they couldn't afford to pay extortionate transport rates. But hey, at least BVG got to make a musical about a tram. And waste money on publicity stunts like applying for UNESCO status they knew they wouldn't get. You know, the important things a public transit firm should be doing.

Social media is the information equivalent of junk food. But it’s not all equal:

• Mastodon = your organic fast food place. The portions are smaller and there’s a salad, but it’s best in moderation

• Instagram = Five Guys. It’s still trendy, but it’s overpriced, past its prime, and you’ll hate yourself after eating there

• TikTok = One of those places you only see on TV when a celebrity chef visits the Deep South. The very air is fried, and 20 seconds in there will do permanent damage

The people who bother me most aren't transphobic demagogues, strange as it sounds.

No, it's the "reasonable" ones who want to "have a discussion" whenever anti-trans hate is pushed a bit further.

#Trans women in sports? They're there with "legitimate concerns"

Banning trans people from public spaces? They want to debate safety

Denying trans people exist? They just care about biology

The "reasonable" ones don't hate, you see. They just want to talk... giving genocide the veneer of civility.

Much of the planet is now regularly catching fire, while whole regions are plunged underwater. If climate activists spraying paint on the Brandenburg Gate is what gets you outraged then something is deeply, criminally wrong with your sense of priorities.

The paint will clean off. Our climate is being changed permanently.

If you're a citizen, you just turn up on election day. It's that easy.
