@RickiTarr My first ever job, after walking out of school, was working for a self employed friend of my mum's as a cable engineer for telephones (offices, etc)
That job was a total laugh, but one day we had to move the entire phone system for a magazine publisher, up a floor, then reconnect the phone system.
This involve installing a 300-pair cable and then reconnecting everything back up. In approximately 18 hours working time.
And I got accosted by a lady of the night while packing up @ 2am

Absolutely.
That was me. Like, stiff upper lip thing because brits, yes squeamish and cold feet attitude toward stuff they don't understand and no-one ever taught me the right way to be about myself.
Not until I met a councillor by happenstance because I found myself in hospital and so was he.
About 3 1/2 years on and tears are a feature, not a bug.
That and all that "Prednisolone" were slowly becoming a fatal mix.

Not to alarm you about modern software but "emulate a complete 486/120 system and play an MP3 in it" turns out to be one of the more CPU and memory efficient ways to listen to music on my laptop.

It's stable. Less than 1% average cpu. Uses a 128mb chunk of memory, but currently has access to nearly 49 days tunage and is currently running a 20 hour long playlist.
Coz I do my own LP rips at 24/96 I need flexibility.

Back in the day my system (P2)
would play burned mp3 discs OK, but if I wanted HDD access I had to borrow my mates scsi drive (just what was spare) and chuck the swapfolder on there.
Then the system flew. ('97)

    The reason I needed a transplant is because my DNA has a flaw, onset with puberty.
    Destroyed my own by age 19.

    Found a Pyne Pod 8500 discarded in the grass during a walk into town yesterday

    Surprisingly sophisticated charging circuitry for an item designed to be disposable. No obvious way to open it in order for owners to refill the tank or to swap in a new atomizer module.

    A disposable vape device with a clear window through which the internal components (PCB, charge circuitry, atomized tank) can be seen. When plugging in a USB-C recharger into the disposable vape device the LED displays 46% and indicates the battery is charging
