I get very frustrated at how quickly everyone wants to disregard the ongoing pandemic and repeat infections as a source of rising mortality and shortened lifespans. Yes, sedentary lifestyle, microplastics, substance abuse and the rest are health threats. But the ONLY significant, population-level event that's occured in the past three years (and continues to occur) is COVID. In the years to come, we'll learn how wrong we were to take this so lightly.

@grrrr_shark @admin @psychotherapist @psychotherapists @psychology @socialpsych @socialwork @psychiatry before I retired 9 years ago I was using a primitive AI-aided charting software that walked you thru various templates via decision trees and mother of god the inaccuracies! If you didn't check every possible option on every dropdown list you'd find weeks later some mental status note thay was no longer true had been repeated for the last 3 or 4 sessions. Having AI actually write? Oh hell no.

And when she tried to join the Fediverse, she was greeted with a barrage of hate, sexism, racism, and anti-semitism that should have never been allowed to happen.

So now no one on Fediverse gets to interact with her directly about her work on here. Our loss. 😢

Which is why we'll make it so that this type of terrible welcome is unlikely to happen again. Allowing it to happen to her was a choice. We will make better ones.

@dancinyogi I wanted to open a window or stand in an open door last night, listening to the tree frogs, crickets, and night birds, but no. It's not even safe to let this air into your house, it's so bad. I have being forced to lock myself away from the world I used to love so much. I grieve it every day.

There are also web design standards but I don't know anything more specific. Sorry. (I teach on line so have a glancing acquaintance with some of this stuff.)

They are fixated on class as the only problem and the only solution, and they want to convert, not listen. Like it was a heckin' religion. And if they can't do that then they attack (e.g., "waffling", "blind", etc.).
