Hey fine people of #Ottawa, looks like everything is covered in ice, so be careful out there and watch out for one another! Especially on side streets and low-traffic areas. Expect pedestrians in the street as some sidewalks may be impassable.

Wednesday: 90 seconds of plank, followed by 6.5 km of #running (-8°C with a windchill of -13°C).

Slept in until about 8:45am, then started my day; such a late start makes a mess of timing my mornings, but clearly I need the rest.

Today marks the 9,496th day I've been married to @TAV (26 years to you “normal” people who don't count days, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Okay fine people who are following #Running; I've been thinking that it might be nice if on the first weekend (like this weekend) of the month we collectively keep an eye on the #Running hashtag and boost a few runners we haven't seen before (especially if they have no interactions on the post or are on an isolated server) to help build out the community.

Breaking! City to close all bridges to car traffic due to inclement conditions, said no one ever.

Same city perfectly ok throwing people on bikes into car traffic rather than keep a safe active mobility bridge open. Ridiculous is an understatement. #ottbike #ottawa #BikeTooter

Wild how it took so long to do something so simple. Not that I long to visit the byward Market but Majors Hill or Rideau Falls were rarely on the list of destinations if this was the direction of travel. But this makes basic access possible especially with the bridge open and the new NCC lookout on the +50% complete?? status #ottawa #ottbike #biketooter

I wonder if there has been a time other than now when more of the NCC pathways along the Ottawa River (both sides) have had so many closures, other than during flooding and rehabilitation. It's kind of astounding how much of it is closed and detoured.

Well, started the day with a 10k (10.63km to be precise) which was fantabulosa!!

I'm always a bit self conscious when it comes to sharing my running times...mainly because I've had to dial back pace, or else face long spells Injured, and now I run like a tortoise through peanut butter. However today was the best I've felt running for a long time....Hopefully my days writing will be as smooth and enjoyable.

11 minutes of yoga for runners
20 minutes of HIIT
30 minutes of strength training
24km of #Cycling (14°C)

Very different today; both the HIIT and strength training felt easier/fun, and the ride was pretty good — and then it started to rain. 🤣 Honestly, it wasn't that bad, I don't mind getting wet. It certainly felt windier than the forecast indicated. 🤷🏻

I do not love that a lot of the same driving mentality permeates how people move around on crowded MUPs in #ottawa If you were in the group of bros loudly ringing your bells in unison to get people walking to move right off the path so you all could blast through the middle so fast I could almost feel you on my left shoulder, well I’ll tell you to fuck off in person when you’re stopped next time too. Slow the hell down and wait a singular minute once in a while #ottbike #biketooter
