I often wonder how much of it is due to religion. I will never forget the time at church many moons ago when I was watching two female family members listening, rapt, as the priest railed against the sins of Woman. They had drunk the Kool-Aid, they were not only complicit in their own subjugation, they craved it. To this day I cannot understand how they couldn’t hear what the priest was actually saying. It was horrifying. I have to think a similar dynamic is playing out with white women who vote for their own subjugation. As one who spat the Kool-Aid out at age 4, I cannot understand it otherwise.

Don’t know who needs to hear this besides university mouthpieces, but being pro-Palestinian and anti-genocide does not equate with being antisemitic. Nobody’s anti-Jewish here. We aren’t trying to erase you. We’re trying to get the state of Israel to stop erasing Palestinians. One would think that of all the people on the planet, it’d be the Jewish people who understood the true gravity of genocide, but we seem determined to repeat the absolute worst of human history instead. It’s madness.

Random nonsense. I just witnessed a "conflict" not a fight just some angry drivers at a four way stop. One of them parked and after some greetings I asked him "Who has the right-of-way at a four way stop". With no hesitation he said whoever was going straight. I suggested maybe whoever got there first. He was insistent - nope whoever was going straight.

Is this a belief - or just BS ? It would explain some crazy ass behavior I've seen at 4 way stops - ? Comments appreciated - I'm baffled

I'm an infertile atheist. In a fit of desperation while doing IVF, I went into a church and promised that if I could have children, I'd have them baptized. I had twins and returned to fulfill my promise because of superstition. I was then told that because they were IVF babies, they had no souls and couldn't be baptized. So, I went back to my original FUCK RELIGION stance. 🙄

Ruby herself is still alive and two years younger than my mom!
