Wow. According to the hydrogen industry lobbyist in my mentions I've gaslit you all by suggesting that heat pumps are great.

Which is weird. Cos heat pumps are an amazing technology. There's even moves to develop air/air heat pumps they use propane as the refrigerant, so DIY installers can easily install them. But what's truly amazing about heat pumps is how they can scale. In the city of London they've installed a big ground source heat pump to drive district heating. It's awesome.

@quixoticgeek we put a heat pump in one of our stores and it made a huge difference. for the first time, the temperature was consistent on every floor regardless of the season, and it saved us a fortune.

Think of the best and worst people you know -those who do good, those who are cruel, and everyone in between. Is one life worth more than another?
Is a do-gooder worth more than someone who revels in cruelty? Is a CEO worth more than a waiter? What metric do we use to decide one person's worth vs. another? Is it good works? Bad works? Earning potential? Education? Popularity?

Can you measure a person's worth in such a way that you can say, "This person is worth more than that one"?

@dancinyogi i don't believe that one hoomin is worth more than another. but i do believe that one hoomin can have a higher threat factor than another. and that this number can and should be used to determine and do what is necessary to defend us against powerful sociopaths who think that anyone who is not them are 'not really people'.
