Still thinking about the concept of studying ant communication by getting down to ant level. Make a tiny robot (we don't know how to make walking robots that small, so wheels it is) the robot would have a camera, little pads to collect pheromones (which could be dropped off to be analyzed) antennae IR sensors and maybe a way to stridulate?

Then one could really find out what's going on in there.

Worst case you have made an immersive ant VR experience!

@futurebird for reference, the Champalimaud foundation ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champalimaud_Foundation ) has created tiny lenses for tiny screens to project VR environments for flies and to monitor their neurological feedback.

So this seems like the opposite half to your VR experience, but some technology could be adapted.

My vampire quest is messed up. The conflict between the vampires, the vampire hunters and the friendly vampire made sense in my head, but as I write I'm finding it's all muddled up. Straightening it all out makes my head hurt. Then there is the local baker that has a key to the vampire house... it all made sense at one point.

This actually make way more sense for why The Matrix wanted humans and they could actually manipulate it. Humans are already capable of dreaming without machine aid if the whole purpose was only “battery”. Pokemon Polished Crystal is crazy good, I wish official remasters could be like this.

It's still a Game Boy Color game, and somehow it's still only 2MB, but it has:

  • Tons more pokemon
  • per-pokemon menu sprites (!!)
  • Phys/Special Split
  • instant text, running shoes, auto advance text and dozens of more QOL fixes
  • Modern "what's this move" info boxes
  • Tons more music and some unique content (lyra is your friend-rival)

@ifixcoinops @projectoutfox you also have the beta on steam, so you can even mote easily set it up with a steam deck or pc you have laying around and you just want to do a plug and play setting ;)
