"The number of people who have ever contributed to Plasma is definitely in the hundreds, maybe the thousands. But the number of current active contributors is less than 50. The number of daily regular contributors is, like, 8 people. Maybe 10 or 12."

So, just ~10 daily active developers are developing and maintaining a world class desktop like @kde. Good perspective about how good job they are actually doing. I wonder how big Windows and macOS desktop teams are.

I balkanci moji sta islite o ovom zlu koje se odigrava u svetu danas? Mislim na Izrael i Palestinu. A nisam zaboravio ni Ukrajinu i Rusiju. Kaze Putin da je samo od juna naovamo 90000 Ukrajinaca poginulo. Da je pola slagao, to je 45000 mladih ljudi iskasapljeno samo sa Ukrajinske strane.

As a tech enthusiast I'm on my way to buy my first iPhone ever. Before doing this I have two questions.

1. Which iPhone is the best and why? (if you have all the money in the world, what model would you choose now?)

2. What are the things you DON'T like in your iPhone and how are you coping with them?

Please answer only if you prefer iPhone, I don't need "don't buy an iPhone" or "Device X is better" -replies. I've been using two decades other mobile devices so I kinda know the differences.

Možda zvuči blesavo, ali em dokazuje da svijet ipak ne orbitira samo oko američkog shvaćanja života, em nije problem prevesti post.

#Twitter used to shine in crisis situations as a good source for real time information. If you try to get informed about wildfires in Greece now, you'll get bunch of climate change deniers in the top tweets feed. So sad.

On the other hand, Mastodon shows less content, but tends to be more relevant which is kind of achievement

I go to #Threads, I see only AI generated images and Twitter vs Threads mediocre memes. I go to #Bluesky, I see is some account with 35k followers and 16 posts, posts about posting and bunch of images of people titled “this is literally me”. Luckily, there is a plain chronological feed, but anyway, going back to #Mastodon feels like going back to sanity.

Deleted Threads, the test is over. In my defense, there’s a podcast (in Serbian) to be recorded soon, so I must be familiar with the stuff
