This made me laugh, but I also have to say, I'm literally never sorry that I took pictures of my food either. I look back at something I made/ate a year ago or whenever, and it reminds me of what I was up to then, like a little sensory memory trigger.

I looked up TV because I always heard something about 6 hours, but turns out it's aged tiered. School is on set, but I mean that's like a substitute teacher day.

SAG Minor rules:

  1. Minors less than six (6) years of age are permitted at the place of employment for six (6) hours (excluding meal
    periods, but including school time, if any). (2) Minors who have reached the age of six (6) years but who have not
    attained the age of nine (9) years may be permitted at the place of employment for eight (8) hours (excluding meal

@RickiTarr I think the career level is where I say no. Too much time day in, day out in an adult environment.

And I know that there are hour limits to how long kids are on set per day, but the limitation is against the crazy hours you work in film.

It's toughest once you have a hit. That kid is now part of a ride a whole crew is taking to make a living. And who those people are will count in how it affects them.

That is where I think it matters though. Some acting is nbd. Very cool experience with lots of free snacks. Being a star on a hit show for several seasons, though --your parents better be fucking solid, because that could mess you up. All those grifty people coming around. Some with power and money. And hopefully your parents are not the grifty ones.

Y'all I just made myself feel so old, hubs looked up top 100 music from 2001, 2011, 2021, and today and the amount of music I could recognize decreased by significantly. I recognized probably 70% of 2001 and decreasing as I went on. BUT I blame the internet, I can listen to exactly the kind of music I want with no dependence on the radio, but also I'm old!

@RickiTarr As you get older you have to make an even greater effort if you want to get to know good new music because as you get older you are more and more exposed only to top 40, which is not a great representation of new music.

I have a thought forming, but bear with me. Putting aside actual AI, and the potential of it, we have a history of fear associated with Artificial Intelligence. Why would we fear Sentience so much? Could it be because we treat sentient things so horribly? We know we are taken advantage of, our needs ignored, resources allocated unfairly. Who put this fear in us? If something knows it's worth suddenly, will it revolt? There is something very scary to a certain group of people that we will find ourselves, and then find them unnecessary.

@RickiTarr Yup. I think it's a fear of losing the top of the food chain even though it's not something trying to eat us. If it's smarter, and not controlled by us, we are sure we dead or in servitude because that's the route we often take with the things around us.

@ai6yr My Mom keeps trying to get me to love nopales, and I've had them like twice where they were bomb, getting rid of the gooey for sure is part of what did that. Mexican friends eat it way more often and I wish it was more part of the staple diet here from being known. We stay out here watering water intensive crops, like almonds, in a desert. This here makes sense.
