Where are custom keyboard command sets stored? I deleted FCP as I the SFX folder isn't anywhere on my Mac, but forgot to export my command set before deleting the app. Luckily I have a time machine backup, so if I would know where the command sets are stored I could find them! 😅 #FinalCutPro#macOS#FCP#VideoEditing#TechHelp#Question
When I click on a link to a PDF, Firefox does one of three things:
a)Display the PDF in-browser, without saving it to a permanent location on my computer.
b)Open a dialogue window asking me where I want to save the PDF.
c)Download and save it in my "Downloads" folder without asking me, and then display it in-browser.
It seems to pick one of these three behaviors at random. I can't discern any pattern.
The thing is, I never ever ever ever ever want it to do (c). If I'm saving a single file on my computer I always want to select the folder manually.
In about:preferences, I scroll down to "Applications," and see I have set PDFs to "always ask." But it doesn't always ask! I've also tried changing the setting to "Open in Firefox", and I get the same result: sometimes it opens in Firefox without saving, sometimes it saves it to my downloads and then opens in Firefox, and sometimes it asks.
What's going on? Why does it switch seemingly at random between these three behaviors regardless of my setting? How do I get it to stop saving things to my Downloads folder without asking?

I have that pair of wood-box 3-way speakers, from an old #Samsung stereo I had back in 1991. Those speakers are now wornout/damaged, but the boxes are in good condition. My question: can be possible to replace the speakers and put new ones?

The game Hardship: shipbreaker chrashes on me at about 30 minutes of play. Chrashing the laptop with it and me needing to remove the battery to get it to restart. I'm using fedora 39 on a t14 g4 ryzen 7. Having used both the experimental build of proton and 8.0.5
I don't know why this is happening or how to fix it.
And whilst i'm asking, i cannot even play Highfleet. The game chrashing when i'm landing in the intro.

Dear tech people out there, and I know there are many. My best friend set a rider account up with Deliveroo for her husband, thinking it would save time for him. Unfortunately the application/account stalled and Deliveroo support had issues finding the account at all. The application has now been withdrawn but the account is still active despite requests for deletion.
How can she have all the account data removed so that HE can create a new one with his locked phone number?

Is there a way I can Print to PDF and get myself a long PDF with no page breaks? I wanna save recipes to a folder on my HD and then when I'm using my tablet to cook from them I want to just have endless scrolling. Not page breaks (which sometimes come in the middle of photographs... very unhelpful).
I live way out in the country. We lost our cable provider a few yrs ago so I stream shows on my tablet with a cell signal, & put them on my big monitor with an HDMI cable & listen with an Airplay speaker.
For some reason, when I’m watching a show on Amazon FreeVee, Amazon tells me that I can’t use Airplay for these shows. Not for Amazon Prime in general -it works fine for Star a Trek, for example, just FreeVee shows. Any thoughts as to why or what can be done? #AmazonPrime#FreeVee#TechHelp
#askFedi#techHelp I have a charger that makes my cellphone touch display misbehave: when the phone is charging through this charger, screen touches and swipes start becoming unreliable, doubling or failing to register at all or discontinuously. How is this possible?
(FWIW the charger is a multi-adapter that allows me to plug nearly any plug in nearly any socket, and that also has USB out.)

My hosting is through Verpex. The domain linked to the hosting I want to keep for a little while but I want my new domain (AlexisBushnell.com) to be linked to the hosting, so when you go to AlexisBushnell.com it brings up my website.
I do not want to redirect - I want the new domain to be the actual domain.
My son’s brand-new school Windows laptop’s battery is not lasting as long as it needs to: he uses it for one 40-minute WebEx system, which uses up 50% of the battery, and then one independent study session and one in-class session, both of which are just web-based research and/or ebook reading, and typing in Word.
We’ve turned on every battery-saving option we can find, including turning off auto load/background refreshes, turning down the screen brightness and turning the video streaming off HD. This last made the WebEx session use 40% rather than 50%, but overall he’s just left on 5% now instead of completely dead. If he has a day needing more video, or if more classes require a laptop, it’s not adequate.
It was advertised as lasting 14 hours. I know that doesn’t translate to real-world use, but 2.5 hours seems extremely poor. Is the battery a dud, is this just what WebEx/modern apps do, or is there some other setting we can play with?
I have a question and I am hoping someone out there has an answer … If my current server does not block Meta and I redirect my account to a server that does block meta … will my account be protected from meta???
We have a Toshiba Regza TV. It is quite old now, but it works and I an not planning on replacing it.
However, I can't work out why some channels sometimes display as extra extra wide stretched view and we only get to see the left 2/3 of the image.
I can change to a differnet channel and it will be fine. It mostly affects channels 18, 19, 27, of the Freeview ones I watch. It doesn't happen all the time.
Any thought as to why it does that?
Is it my TV or is it the transmission?
Changing the screen size aspect ratio format doesn't make any difference, it still only shows the left 2/3 of the image on thos channels.

My GOD the new Outlook that I was forced to "upgrade" to is nightmarish. Can anyone recommend a PC desktop #EmailApp that works for you professionally? A really robust one?
I want to use it without having to be signed in to an account. At first, I thought that installing the KOreader OS would help, but it seems you still have the original OS installed. Once you sign out of your account, the device forces you into a setup process, whether you try to setup with wi-fi or without it.
In any case, my device won't be receiving updates anymore, so...what can I do?
