@SpaceAce I always enjoyed Living in Sin (at the Holiday Inn) off that album. But Back in the New York Groove has always been my favourite from those four albums.

It's not my country and maybe our neighbours to the south will tell me to shut up and mind my own business. But I have to say this:

  • Praying is meaningless. Voting for candidates who will act to implement gun control might be a thought, though.

  • Citizens of many countries watch the same shows, play the same games, listen to the same music. And yet, we're not blowing one another away on the daily.

  • It's the guns. It's not the "troubling times." It's the guns.

Blackbird’s Perch

There were some of these around today when Ben and Charlie took me out for a walk. I think that they are Brewer's blackbirds (Euphagus cyanocephalus), though Merlin's first choice is rusty blackbirds (Euphagus carolinus).

So, I thought I was getting both Vaccines today?
I got my advanced Covid shot, but the regular Flu shot was all that was offered? But, I'm supposed to get the high strength, but they didn't have it, so I canceled to hold out for the real FLU Vaccine for seniors.
I can't understand why the Booking site didn't only offer me that selection?

@Rasta That's bizarre. I asked for and received both shots at the local health unit in AB (I was only booked for a COVID booster). But the govt here is limiting supply to pharmacies, so a lot of people who signed up to receive the COVID booster weren't able to get it when they wanted.

My daughter is up for a visit and decided to bring Trooper along on the road trip. He had a bit of a rough life until my daughter adopted him from the cold weather rescue—he looks a wee bit like bad taxidermy—but he’s just the sweetest boy.
