tl;dr - discord is about to take away your legal rights to resist em in court, and you should email them so they won't be able to do that so easily.

Discord decided to do the corpo thing and slyly change their TOS by including an arbitration clause, that you implicitly agreed to. If you don't opt out of arbitration, you waive your right to a jury trial, including class action lawsuits, if you bring a complaint against Discord. You have until 30 days after April 15th, 2024 to opt out.

To opt out of the arbitration clause, email arbitration-opt-out@discord.com with something along the lines of, "I am confirming that as of the date of this email, I am choosing to opt out of binding arbitration to settle disputes with Discord".

Save yourself from being taken advantage of by another unethical company that only exists to sell your data.

Of course, the TOS includes:

Additionally, disputes concerning patents, copyrights, moral rights, trademarks, and trade secrets and claims of piracy or unauthorized use of our services will not be subject to arbitration

In other words, they can sue you if they don't like you, but you sign off your rights to sue them because reasons.
