An intrusive thought I return to often is how "I want a pony" is the canonical example of an unreasonable request but, like, if you look into it even a little you'll find it's not hard at all to acquire a pony. On raw purchase price a pony is far cheaper than a car and probably not much more than a good ebike. You're gonna have to invest time and money into pony upkeep but, of all the aspirational goals you could set yourself in life "a pony" is one of the more attainable ones
When I talk about digital privacy, there is always some smug genius who shrugs and tells me, "Who cares? We all know we don't have any privacy anyway." Nothing could be more wrong. Convincing you that the fight is already over to the way people in power get you to stop resisting.
@evacide i just had that conversation the other day i need a 5 minute comedy routine that points out what is wrong with this who cares about privacy argument..:anyone got any leads?

Inspired by @meshe, I have begun moving my back catalog of ~100 "music videos" and live performances from their various corners of the interwebs into a #Peertube instance that I own and control.
If no one is going to see my stuff it had may as well not be seen on MY platform, rather than theirs!

We did a wine-tasting style assessment: X immediately picked up notes of 'awesome' & 'incredible'. I confirmed this strongly & added tones of 'sultry', 'powerful', 'confident' and 'in charge'. We both almost simultaneously tasted Lana del Ray. (Hmnn…)Grace Jones, I definitely tasted KD Lang and Bjork. Overall, wow! Truly mind-blowingly beautiful. This better not be collecting dust somewhere.
