This class will be on Zoom, will cover the basics of Procreate and will take place over 5 consecutive Saturdays starting April 20.

You will learn:
• Draw a manga character
• inking and coloring
• Paint a simple landscape
• Portrait drawing and painting
• Create a fantasy character

Ages 13+
Skill level: absolute beginner

My 7th article has been published on Medium.

During a recent trip to Morocco, I made a series of drawings to document scenes I saw during each day.

My wife and I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Morocco.

I brought a small 5½" X 8½" sketchbook, an HB pencil, a variety of black fine-point and brush-tip felt pens and two 6B graphite sticks.

Our tour was very fast-paced so I had no opportunity to sit and sketch on the spot. Instead, I reviewed my photos from earlier in the day and chose something interesting to draw each night before bed. I limited my time to 1-hour max per drawing.

He sits on a stone ledge attached to a stone block building behind him. Behind his head and shoulders is a rectangular opening in the building revealing the inside. No details can be seen inside the building.

Rosemary (on the left) tries to grab some shut-eye, but with an energetic kitten following her around, it can be challenging.

Pepper (on the right) sometimes gets on Rosemary's last nerve. That's when we hear a very loud hiss.

A well spent morning + early afternoon 🎨

I haven't touched watercolors since October - a reminder of how full and stressful a time it has been. Not that the stress got less, but trying hard to truly disconnect this week.
