I miss him and I want to touch him even though I already touched him this morning. I want to touch him again and I think that should be allowed. I think I should get to touch him every day when I wake up and every day when I come home, if he’s willing. It feels unfair that I am not touching him right this minute. I want to touch him.

Controversial opinion: we should have some pubs that allow children (and actively welcome them, with playgrounds and kids’ meal deals and stuff) but also some pubs that ban them (because sometimes adults want to drink in child-free environments, and that’s a legitimate desire that is easy to fulfil), and some pubs that are in between. There should be lots of different types of social spaces, so everyone is catered for 👍

@girlonthenet Agreed. I’ve also long believed that malls should be allowed to have bars. More people would shop if they could take a break with a pint, and/or like-minded friends.

However, for anyone confused, this was not some “demonstration” by Iran’s government in which they knew the result would be failure. (And there were casualties.)

Posts like this one fascinate me. I just went through days of her timeline, and see virtually no evidence of this “community” she’s so enthralled with. She posts about 100 times an hour, and most get a handful of likes, some dull replies, and virtually no discussion. Is everyone just delusional?

I still will never understand why so many people lean on that “favorite” button like it’s a Pez shooter, but rarely boost anything. I almost never favorite. If something resonates, I share it. Full stop. Because that’s almost always why they posted it in the first place. I guess I’m an outlier.

I agree that kids today have a lot to be anxious and unhappy about. When when does that discontent turn into mobilization for change, if ever? It often feels like 1.5 generations are deeply depressed and waiting for their online therapist to suggest that they get politically active.
