Pitcher Plant - was walking in the woods with my husband when we came upon this wonderful looking plant. I didn't know what it was until someone told me. It's carniverous too. Nature is so amazing... 😀

On the way back from the wildlife refuge, we stopped at a small bridge crossing the Wallkill River. It flows north unlike most rivers. I love the hazy, rainy mood it had that day.

Visited a place we've never been to before, Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge. Many waterfowl and migrating birds, but it was too rainy to spend time hiking the trails. Will return in better weather to see all that it has to offer. Sussex NJ

Yesterday was a seriously foggy and rainy day. My husband and I stopped for donuts at Soons Farms, an apple orchard and vegetable farm in New Hampton, NY. The bare trees reminded me of a Hitchcock movie.

Ferry to Surry - we were crossing a river and when the ferry took off, hundreds of birds followed the boat with us. I caught this one over the side of the deck. I love the face and the motion.

I grew Chinese Lanterns one year. Had no idea how much of your garden they can take over. When they faded, their beautiful skeletons looked like magic lanterns to me.

Thinking about my garden and how I miss it in winter. But have some lovely memories through photography. My pin Peony plant gave me 56 blooms last year. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers. The scent alone is exquisite.
