An interesting morning for visitor yesterday 16th April.

A female Brambling sits on a horizontal branch with her back to us, her head turned to the right, that eye visible. Her head is a blueish colour with paler streaks running from front to back, her side is an orange colour with flashes of white and black, a little yellow towards the tail feathers, her back looks scaled but is just feather pattern

April 1st and I got my first contact with an Osprey. Our local pair have both returned to their nest, rebuilt it and mated, several times!

Last night

What remains
