I want to ask college administrators: When you look back at the history of protest in the United States, is "rules must be enforced at all cost" really the lesson you take?

The rule is Don't slaughter innocent defenseless trapped populations.

It's not a political statement.

When the consumers get what they pay for, and cease to consume;

while all negative behavior counts as 'engagement' and adds to the holy GDP;

"dribble upon" economics is starting to do just that;

until the truly sacred biosphere barfs it all up [again].

My discipline, anthropology, is not seen as a “growth" discipline, and departments are being closed down. But the world needs Anthropology and Anthropologists now more than ever!

Here are my 8 reasons for this:

  1. POSSIBILITIES
    At a time of polycrisis, when the destructive fallouts of capitalist modernity are ever more apparent, anthropology highlights that there are myriad alternative ways of thinking and living; that there is so much to learn from other peoples in the world. 1/n

A new season of Nick on the Rocks is here!

The pinnacles of Saddle Rock - known as Two Bears to the Wenatchi - tower over the city of Wenatchee, silent sentinels that remind us of Washington's geologically turbulent past.

Made up of rhyolite, the spired landscape hugging the westside of the city tells the story of a possible supervolcano beneath the surface. https://bit.ly/3J30gJO

Hmm, it appears impossible to buy just a handful of T-Nuts online. I suspect a handful at the local hardware store costs more than the giant 100 and 120 packs... but, really. I only need 4.

The only way to keep them is to use them. Often they're a great first stop for anything (except fresh food) ;-}

Hey folks, got a question for you. Does your local NWS office push all of their Facebook/Twitter posts to their RSS Feed? If so, can you throw me a link? I contacted my local NWS office and they say it’s not possible, but I feel like I’ve seen people share things here from NWS RSS so wanted to see what the experience at other local offices is. Thanks!

I've observed that not all offices issue the same products, notably the Daily Briefing and the Weather Story. (LOT only the latter)

This may possibly be organized or at least roughly around their regional areas (maybe HQ offices, from which I have seen some awesome products hosted), but I haven't researched it.
