Is there a way I can make a separate feed or timeline in Mastodon with toots from specific hashtags? Like, can I make a timeline that only tracks toots with the hashtag?

@amoroso this is something, but not quite what I wanted, as I still want to keep using the "simple" mastodon interface. I fiddled a bit with lists, but it looks like you can only include people you follow on a list. I'm looking for lists but for hashtags.

Wow, this was fast. Shortly after open sourcing their code, the company behind The Mirror announced a subscription plan based on number of installs and sales revenue.

The fee applies to you after making more than $200,000 AND having more than 200,000 lifetime installs in the past year.

If you have more than $1,000,000 in revenue AND 1,000,000 lifetime installs you may get some discounts for the fee.

Another robotic mission to the moon is set to launch this week.

Intuitive Machines, in collaboration with NASA, will launch its Nova-C lander, named Odysseus, which will land near the lunar south pole. IM-1 is the first of 3 missions scheduled this year.

Launch will take place at 12:57 a.m. ET Feb. 14 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from KSC. Landing will occur 9 days later.

If successful, this will be the first American commercial landing on the moon.

@gamingonlinux interesting, I played it yesterday and the performance was worse than on Windows. I have a Radeon 6700 XT and a Ryzen 5 3600.

I set everything to low and I couldn't get a stable enough FPS that my monitor's FreeSync premium would stabilize on 120 Hz.

this doesn't happen on Windows, there I get a smooth performance overall. I reported these issues on ProtonDB.

I hope they can have a good release and if they have to tone down some features for the release, that they end up supporting the game for many years to come, like they did with NMS.

The NASA Juno spacecraft will make its 56th flyby of Jupiter (Perijove 56) tomorrow around 12:20 UTC, Nov 22, 2023.
A few hours earlier, around 08:10 UTC, it will cross the orbit of Jupiter’s volcanic moon Io. Juno will pass through what is known as the "Io Plasma Torus", the donut shaped region around Io's orbit composed of hot ionized gas (plasma) fed by material from Io's eruptions and shaped by Jupiter's magnetosphere.

@postmarketOS I dislike the new theme. theres a lot of unused space and it seems like they're trying to make a mobile look for desktops. the old, wide format looks better, or at least, if the new design could be somehow like Arch Linux's wiki, I think it would be a bit better.

@gamingonlinux isn't it a requirement in the EU, if you bought the game on Battle.net ActiBlizz is required to give you a key to play it on Steam? or is it only for cloud gaming platforms, i.e., if you buy the game on Geforce Now, for example, you can have it for free in Microsoft's?

@gamingonlinux they did it once for Destiny 2 if I'm not mistaken, when Bungie announced they were moving from Bnet to Steam.

you don't even need extra keys, just make it so that when you link your Bnet with Steam, you get the game on your Steam. but this seems like it's just a shady practice by ActiBlizz to get more money for users that want to play on Steam.

@drewdevault I'd say that curiosity should be encouraged during our education. at high school, my classmates just took the teacher's word for granted, they didn't bother to question why their view was the "correct" one. at uni, no one bothered to ask why a process happens in X way, they just took it for granted.

those that are curious about the world may be more open towards questioning the script.

@boilingsteam I don't want this deal to happen because Bobby Kotick will get a massive check as a reward for constantly sexually harassing women in Activision and making it a toxic workplace.

and if you just ignore that fact, Microsoft made Starfield exclusive to PC and Xbox, not releasing it on PS. TES6 won't be released on the Sony console either.

@boilingsteam how to prevent publishers from being predatory to game devs is one question I'd ask

the other one, how much input does a game dev have on the monetization model. cite the example of ksp2 being a half baked game that wasn't even ready for Early Access and the company is doing the least effort approach to fix the game because they already made millions from selling an incomplete prototype. ask them how to prevent this from happening or if they see this as the trend on the industry.

Espero que um dia as pessoas percebam o perigo que é depender de uma ferramenta de software proprietário, em especial os com o modelo de assinatura, por exemplo, os da Adobe e Autodesk que estão nadando de braçada nesse modelo. Eles podem não só trancar você pra fora de acessar o seu trabalho, como podem obrigar você a usar a versão que eles quiserem. Se o plugin do qual você depende parar de funcionar nas versões mais novas, você tem um problemão. Podem obrigar você a converter o formato-versão de trabalhos anteriores, e, se tudo quebrar, não tem a quem recorrer.
Ter o controle das suas ferramentas de trabalho é uma segurança que não tem preço. é seu, e é de todo mundo, um bem comum da humanidade.

minha universidade na Europa utiliza tudo da Microsoft. até para redigir nosso TCC precisamos de usar o Word. por incrível que pareça, estudo numa faculdade de engenharia que não tem suporte para LaTeX ou templates em formato aberto para apresentações e artigos de conferências. o sistema de verificação de plágio só funciona com arquivos do Word.

@villares @massa @petroniocandido o que me incomoda no LibreOffice é o posicionamento das imagens. não consigo centralizar corretamente uma imagem ou inseri-la no texto sem quebrar a formatação seguinte.

por isso prefiro o LaTeX, pois é só usar um template (e como faço engenharia a maioria dos templates seguem o formato da IEEE) e não preciso me preocupar com a formatação. as vezes as imagens ocupam um espaço maior e vão para a outra página, mas é só reduzir o tamanho dela.
