Unfortunately, openSUSE Tumbleweed already includes version 5.6.1 of liblzma. Hence, if you are using Tumbleweed, your system might already be affected.

I gotta say I fü©king love . Have it installed on my wives and it just feels like such a boss distro everywhere. I've never felt anywhere close to this good with a distro before. Stable, up to date, reliable, no hassle, powerful...

Edit: I have no idea how autocorrect managed to change "3 computers" to "my wives" but I feel like I have to let it stay in there. Maybe it's trying to tell me something...

@thelinuxcast

I once tried but didnt quite vibe with it and your temping me into another distro hop.

Do you think it has grown on you enough to be a main stay (at least on a serious pc that you want to keep consisten)?

Have you found any suseism that bugged you? Like since they use rpm like but that does not mean they are the exact same - like using a dep on can be sketchy.

Also cool to see the you're a historian.

The other thing I'd say is that YaST is a bit overrated. It's great, but I don't ever use it. Zypper does all the things I need, and the rest I use traditional tools to manage.

Otherwise, it has been the best Linux distro I've ever used. I know a lot of people have trouble with drivers if they use Nvidia. Also, it's like :fedora: in that the codecs need to be installed separately, and that bugs a lot of people.

I don't see myself leaving, tbh

If you've any interest in or or immutable desktops in general, I highly recommend giving Richards talk at a watch/listen.

https://media.ccc.de/v/all-systems-go-2023-208-opensuse-aeon-desktop-linux-finally-done-right-

Kalpa is following (or at least attempting to) follow the same design principles as Aeon, And this is a touch more challenging with a Plasma Desktop, than it is with Gnome, for many reasons, and it's the reason we move a bit slower.
