Loving #PhilipsHue's long press to turn all the lights off. With some node-red and #HomeAssistant, I just extended that to our #lego light kits and display lights.
It was slightly infuriating to do because I had to figure out which event it was and to do that I had to look at all events coming from HA just to find "hue_event" among all "state_changed" events. It was simple after that to find the "long_release" event type for the "hue_event".
@benoit_badrignans@wyri Not sure if it applies, but I do think so, but have you ever looked at the events monitor in the development tools?
I never used Node-red but this should be relatively easy to do using just the HomeAssistant automations and depending on your Zigbee gateway it might even be a build in trigger the you can select from a drop down menu.
@secupriv@benoit_badrignans Yeah it applies, thanks both found them in both locations. Will go there first next time because the "hue_event" is listed. (Not that in matters much but not using Zigbee directly but the official Hue bridge.)
Using node-red in such a way that I get all events, filter all that are of the long_release type, and then trigger the service calls.
Eclipse just peed on a paper bag that was lying on the floor where we used to have a litter box. She is perfectly capable of using the litter boxes in the garage and balcony, and can even go into the backyard.
Cats are very location oriented (location in space is context and meaning). Also, you know how they react on any regular shape on the floor: It means an enclosure.
So I bet from her PoC she was perfectly reasonable.

my personal experience is that i can roleplay so much for "professionals" to diagnose me one thing and the contrary so i don't believe in the whole thing

Review sites ought to make some kind of adjustment for reviewers whining about price, because I'll bet it affects non-Euro cuisines more and drags down their overall rating in comparison. ("Asian food must be cheap or I'll drop and kick my legs screaming.") Just read the reviews of a Filipino restaurant in LA, and I mean if you didn't like the price on the wall, you had the option to not order the food 🤷🏾

@NeadReport I remember reading an article in a retail magazine back in the day, about music being piped into shopping centers. They did a study and the net result was that almost no matter what music was chosen, about half the people would like it while the other half would be slowly driven mad. 😆
Went for a wee walk with @dana earlier to see the sunset. Got some nice photos. There wasn't actually that much wind but this skirt seems to dance like there is anyway...
jfc, I'm driving at 30 km/h and car drivers simply overtake me because... I'm a cyclist. It's fuckin 30 km/h speed limit here and you have to accelerate to 40 just to go past me.
And then slow down to sub 30 bcz your fat ass SUV isn't as agile as I'd be so you're even slowing me down. Just because you feel insecure by a cyclist being faster than you.
Oh, and I also accelerate faster to 30 (except if you have an electric car, but those people don't).
Ugh, sometimes I really just want to smash in car windows.
WTaF is wrong with car drivers? We're in 30 km/h zone, again. At a traffic light, I'm right next to the car and accelerate when it turns green, I'm way ahead of the car and would now need to sidle into the actual drive lane because the bike lane ends in a parking strip. So I look back and I see the driver accelerating like crazy so I brake and let him pass, then go into the lane after him. He was way above 30 km/h and only accelerated that much to get past me. After that he decelerates to ~23 km/h but there's no place for me to overtake.
Next traffic light, I now get right around him and place myself in front. I'm faster anyway and have better acceleration. When the lights turn green he accelerates and switches to the opposite lane to overtake me, then slows down again.
What kind of small dumb ego do you need yo have to pull off something like that?!
