75 years ago, the students of Washington University in St. Louis overwhelmingly voted to admit Black students to undergraduate programs. But it took the university another three years to desegregate. #stlouis
Yesterday I joined a protest in #StLouis about #WhitePhosphorous. A chemical weapon, which kills and maims by chemical burn. White Phosphorous is produced by #Monsanto (headquartered here in STL), sold to #ICL (which also operates out of STL), and then sold by ICL to several militaries, including the US and IDF.
In many ways it can feel like these wars are solely the decisions of far away politicians, happening in far away places, to far away people. But the machine is also here at home.
Good article on the non-cleanup of #radioactive contamination near the #StLouis airport. ("Good" in the sense of interesting and detailed, not the actual situation.)
Good morning friends, welcome to Wednesday! It's going to be annoying for me at times, I've got a conference call with Chicago Bob, our sales person and his customer, let's call him Mr. Jackass today at 10. Talking to customers isn't normally my job, but this guy likes to use big scary engineering words that confuse poor Bob, so I'm taking over. Fun times!

Good morning friends. 🌄 How's everyone doing today? I'm tired, I only got two hours of sleep, and I'm feeling it. Luckily, I have a full thermos of strong coffee and this sunrise to enjoy while I chug it. Unfortunately, I have to walk into work at some point... 😡 If I was 20 years younger, I'd call in, damn my old fashioned dedication.
Have a good Tuesday! Let's make it the best one we can or cancel it next time. 😉
A pair of sweet adoptable kittens at Tenth Life Cat Rescue. The siblings are nearly identical, and were busy wrestling just the minute before I took the picture. #StLouis#CatsOfMastodon#kittens
We went down to Tower Grove to check out a used bookstore and took a walk through the park. The store was a great hole in the wall with tons of old books. The pictures below are the griffins guarding the entrance to Tower Grove Park. It is a nice day in St Louis but a bit windy. The blue skies are a nice change though.
