Accidentally underdeveloped these negatives by a LOT by using a 1:127 instead of a 1:31 solution of Legacy Pro L110. But Tri-X is a forgiving stock, thankfully!
There’s only this life, this light
on earth; there’s no darkness or death.
We’re all already on the seashore,
and I’m one of those who hauls in the nets
when immortality swims past a shoal.

Check out the person I met at the farmer's market last week! (They were dressed like this because they're a CPA, and they help you with your money, hence gold, haha)
(Yashica Mat 124G, Portra 160, developed in Bellini C-41 chemicals and scanned on Fuji Frontier SP3000)
Some guy posted on photomarket that he had a film ’lot’ to sell. It was.. just four rolls. Not forty. Clearly we have different ideas of what a ‘film lot’ is.
I feel like sometimes random people just change your life in so many ways, like the girl who gave me a film camera in 2003 when I visited Kolkata, India for the first time. i haven't spoken to her in 20 years, but she gave me the gift of having my memories in still film photographs for the rest of my life
I took a photo of my mum's cousin at work. Turns out she runs Singapore's best rated wanton noodles shop! Very proud of her family for what they've built
I know I have a photo of a Leica in my profile photo, but the vast majority of my photos are taken on a camera that costs less than a Leica lens (that camera has been in the shop for 6 months. Tho tbf it’s the first time in 10 years it’s needed servicing)
In the meantime, I find my Minolta Hi-Matic 7S II to be perfectly capable. Comparable even to the 40mm Minolta Leica lens. Cheaper than that lens. Smaller than Fuji X100V
Two new* films are making it to the store shelves this month: Foma Ortho 400 and Shanghai GP3. Edit: Shanghai Shenguang 400.
I'm very curious about the fast orthochromatic film and happy to see that Shanghai is able to produce metal canisters with DX code for their (most likely rebranded) emulsion.
THE BIGGEST concurrent UK film photography walk ever will take place on June 29th.
If you're in the country, this may be a fun one for you.
And by THE BIGGEST, the organizers (Analogue Wonderland and Kodak) mean it's actually bigger than any other photowalk, including digital photographers' meetups.
We need joy as we need air. We need love as we need water. We need each other as we need the earth we share. [Maya Angelou, american poet]. Triptych (2024).

Within the dusk, in the invisible of darkness, our primitive fears and core emptiness are revealed. Within the dusk, within the swish of the night, the endless surrounding and the pure fullness of being are enhanced. (2024).

A highly recommended place when you are in the mood for live rock music and find yourself in Tokyo.
