The fantastic Norton Disney dodecahedron intrigues everyone. There are other complete examples, e.g., this one from Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt.
We still don't know what those mysterious devices were used for. Any suggestions?
@ninawillburger They are time artefacts of #DrWho. Look at these remaining balls! It was a horrible time when the Celts invented their #dodecahedron time changer games, and a Roman soldier forgot to close the teleportation gate. The #Daleks materialised and stole the inner material to build their sense globes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSLQH1gKocs
Since then, a certain Gallic village (the game inventor lived there) was angry at all Romans until Dr Who will return and bring back the sense globes!
Susan, The Doctor and the other two visit Skaro, but the interdimensional comflobulator breaks and since the Thales haven't worked out how to invent stuff yet they have to go into the city to ask the Daleks for some Sellotape to fix it - with hilarious consequences. #ScotchTapeAMoviePlotOrPoem #HashtagGames #Daleks#DoctorWho #SellotapeAMoviePlotOrPoem
Have just driven back from a get together with friends and as we went past a city snowplow depot there were many of the tiny sidewalk plows darting about, lights blazing.
Maybe because I was watching #doctorWho lately they looked like #Daleks dispersing on Skaro their home planet.
Radio Times marked the return of the Daleks on the week of 21-27th Nov, in 1964, with this classic cover for The Dalek Invasion of Earth, assuring the Daleks place as the Doctor’s arch villains forevermore! #DoctorWho#Daleks#DoctorWho60
#DoctorWho showrunner Russell T Davies on changing the physical attributes of arch-villain #Davros, creator of the #Daleks:
"There’s a problem with the old Davros: he’s a wheelchair user who is evil. I had problems with that. A lot of us on the production team did too, associating disability with evil... So we made the choice to bring back Davros without the facial scarring and without the wheelchair."
Um, has it occurred to RTD that Every Single Dalek is also "a wheelchair user who is evil"?
The earliest Doctor Whos I remember are The Sea Devils, The Green Death and The Three Doctors, so I thought I'd finally go back and (re)watch all the Pertwee ones.
My goodness there are a lot of them.
And Spearhead from Space looks amazing, all shot on film. Pity they weren't all like that.
"It's kind of my main thing" or
"It's kind of their main thing" or
"It's kind of your main thing" is a phrase that keeps popping up lately — both philosophically and in managing life and work. And I got it from this funny Dalek sketch parody I can highly recommend.
