I have musics!

You can play it loud or quiet! (Loud is better sometimes!)

Many thanks for your support!

Anyone else do electronic music that translates well to live sets? Most of the stuff I've released is tricky to do live in any interesting way without just triggering sections/tracks (which can be interesting too, depending).

I'm trying to find a balance where I can recreate songs while also making sure there is enough being performed live to make it interesting (for myself included). A tricky balance!

From late 1995 to early 1997 I co-created a Windows platform game called Moon Child.

The game's last world was a hectic, psychedelic grand finale, featuring a fast-paced soundtrack by our composer Ramon Braumuller.

The Moon Child game, all audio tracks and more can be found here, for free:

Getting ready for a 3-hour live ambient set at an art event on Friday. Let's see how well the Deluge and Sledge get along.

Just learned the synth guppe group thing is down. I hadn't been using it much, I guess, that I didn't notice it missing until now.

Are we doing something else instead? Just hashtags is enough?

First saw this about nine years ago, (original author unknown).

FYI even music heavyweights in the industry use loops, but you can't sample something that doesn't have copyright clearance. Big no-no.

Just two days left in the month; who wants to help me end the month with some strong streaming numbers? If I get ~80 streams I'll crest 700 for the month...

How about a guided tour thru my back catalog?

(If you just want to go poke around yourself, you can go to my Bandcamp and have a listen: https://etherdiver.bandcamp.com/)

Boosts appreciated!

Here's my first-ever track I released under the name Ether Diver. It's a glacially paced ambient piece that is intensely focused on tiny movements and constant evolution. It's great for relaxation, reading, or doing yoga/meditation type activities.

I'm told it's fantastic to paint to, as well.

This tracks is maybe the polar opposite of the last one. It's noisy, abrasive and heavy -- arguably nonmusical! But it's also the song that gave me my nom de tune. It's a song called "Ether Diver," from an EP called Ether Diver. Ether Diver.

It's completely made up of samples of the Soma Ether. A deep dive, if you will. (All the spaceship stuff and mythology came later; it was just such a cool name I knew I had to use it.)

This track is a pisstake of paranoid ranting idiots on TV and the internet. It's my take on the glorious of and similar acts (mostly Negativland lol). Not something I've released much of but I love playing in this space and it's a personal favorite track.

The title, "WHOSE RESPONSIBLE THIS?" is an obscure meme that grew out of the comments section of a website I used to write for.

This track is a personal favorite and, I think, a vastly underrated song. (Well, under heard, really -- probably due to its placement at the end of the album.) It's a little rough-hewn, but has a lot of cool elements, including a two-part structure and some more !

A dark horse favorite of fans, and a track that I started off liking and ended up loving, here's "Coven of the Outer Dark" from my 2022 album Tales of Etherspace. This song is basically all filter sweeps. And it's a beautiful thing. The vibe here is immaculate.

Finally, the title track of my recent release Psychedelic Ghost Stories. It's a slow burn tension builder that's been my favorite since release.

I haven't been excited about a Spitfire Audio release in quite awhile, but I'm absolutely going to grab and use this free Labs release from Sam Battle, aka Look, Mum, No Computer.

It was recorded at his obsolete music technology museum in Kent. VERY cool!

I’ve got nothing against , but I respect how difficult it is to do well. When you for a good , you don’t just get back the right frequencies, durations, intensities and timbral spectra. They come connected, shaped, and imbued with centuries of oral tradition and thousands of hours of individual practice on the instrument.

A ballad with bite and drive! @jonnyfallout has delivered a engaging and energetic slice of pop goodness, a female-fronted vocal track sliding into that sweet spot between Grimes and Chvrches and topped with just enough '80s to push a few nostalgia buttons.

Intriguing pair of, as promised "Two Space Tunes" from @defaultmediatransmitter. The first is an uptempo, energetic breakbeat track that is just a notch down from going full Big Beat revival. The second is a much calmer, more emotional affair that begs to be used as the soundtrack to an intimate moment between alien lovers in a prestige scifi drama.
