It's mid-November and here in VA most of the color has left the leaves, but here's a bit of color from a few years ago. This is from the grove of trees at mile marker 8 in Shenandoah.
Fall color hedgerow on edge of Hammond Hill State Forest. This is one of the few spots of the forest where you get a view. Doesn't have a lens id so it has to me the 7Artisans 50mm.
As a freelance writer and photographer, the self-imposed pressure to stay at my desk and keep working is mighty strong. But I fought that part of one gorgeous day this week and went out to photograph fall color. Boy I’m glad I did, for the photos but also my well-being.
The weather was beautiful today so I went to the Seattle Japanese Garden at the Arboretum to check out the fall color. There isn't yet as much as I expected, but some trees are looking great.
This was taken on our trip through Ontario one October. Steven was teaching his workshops in Ottawa so I got to explore the countryside. The weather was bright and the leaves reflected in the water had a rich golden tone. They almost looked like a mosaic. I feel warmer just looking at this and remembering how peaceful it all was.
Happy Tuesday all!
