Clearing Storm Around Half Dome

Yosemite in the winter time is magical if you can stand a little cold. Clouds move in and out of the valley without warning. They can bring snow or rain or both depending on how cold the storm front is.
This image was captured as a storm was clearing from the valley and the clouds released their grip on Half Dome.

Half Dome Infrared

This is an image of Half Dome located in Yosemite National Park. This giant rock formation rises above Yosemite Valley and the Merced River.
Captured towards the end of winter there is some snow on top of the dome.
Below the dome is the Merced River flowing slowly giving the trees on both sides of the river a soft reflection. The ground is covered in snow. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/half-dome-infrared-bill-gallagher.html

Half Dome and the Merced River
This image was captured from a bridge over the Merced River in Yosemite National Park.
Captured as a winter storm was clearing from the valley, there is a small whisp of a cloud in the front face of Half Dome.

Half Dome and high clouds for #MountainMonday — a photo that I made during our recent Yosemite trip, at the end of October, from the well-known "Glacier Point" lookout. One can drive there with a car! It's almost blasphemy...

Mein Beitrag zum ist gleichzeitig eines der schönsten Panoramen, die ich je in meinem Leben sehen durfte.

Den Blick vom über das mit den ganz links, dem in der Mitte und dem rechts werde ich nie vergessen.

Um die gewaltigen Dimensionen einordnen zu können: die Yosemite Falls (links), haben eine Fallhöhe von insgesamt 740 Metern.
