Good morning... still one of my favorite shots of the Great Wall. My best friend and I would bike to this section of the wall on a regular basis. It became our 'Blue Remembered Hills' and we have often quoted the Housman poem to each other as we missed this life we had been blessed to live.
My path to a meat-free diet wasn't easy, but when I discovered chickpeas and then soybeans, it turned out that life without meat is possible. This photograph is my tribute to chickpeas. 🙂❤️🙂

My love for still-life photography started with this photo. It has been hanging in my kitchen for years and I hope there will be someone who would also like this photo in their kitchen.

Yet in winter, darkness is a gift. It lets us slow down - rest more, sleep more, spend more time being still and quiet. Wonderful time we can enjoy and celebrate the darkness.

Monday morning I biked to Marine Park here in Bellingham. It’s probably the last time I’ll get to before I head off on a trip. I really wanted to get one last visit in before I left because this place has become so important to me. It has been where I’ve gone to reflect and find peace in the midst of the chaos.
As I was taking a panorama, I heard the sound of a train coming to town and decided to include it in my pink sunrise panorama. Really love how the light plays across the water as the train rounded the corner.
Whatcom falls was flowing today. Hadn’t been in a few months but glad I came here with a new friend. I met Mark at a cafe I frequent and he asked to come along on one of my photo adventures. We ended up spending 4+ hours taking photos and talking photography. He’s more of a videographer and was wanting to learn some photography from me. Happy to share!
