Adding 2 new varieties to our this year. Royal snap(deep burgundy) & honey snap(pale yellow) - both are edible raw or cooked. I have 6 of each in my starter pots & transplanting them into beds today.

I’m pretty sure these are just our regular alligator lizards here in So. California but have never seen one so dark before. Anyone know why or if it’s a different breed? Thanks

The Amazon Pygmy Gecko (Pseudogonatodes guianensis), is an unassuming and secretive lizard, living in the leaf litter of the rain forest. They are dark-colored to the eye, and 1.5 - 2 inches long as an adult. A wee and shadowy creature, but get a camera flash on them, and they look magnificent. Photographed a few weeks ago in NE Peru.
