#tbt chicken-sitting for a friend. I'd open up their coop first thing in the morning and hang out with them for a bit. Rosie would always jump up in my lap and fall asleep as I drank coffee and read a book. She was a real people hen. Rosie was a pal. The other hens weren't quite as friendly but thought I was pretty cool because I brought them cheese.

Flash from the past: Little foundling Tristan, five weeks old. Now able to stand up and drink his glop (Kitten Milk Replacer, KMR) like a big boy.
The rabbit is his Extra Littermate, and under the blanket is a heating pad. We want his body temperature to stay level without him burning up all that glop.

I was today years old when I realized these sprites that create route borders in the generation 1 Pokémon games are not giant boulders and are, in fact, shrubs.
My reality has been shattered, I am unwell. Words of encouragement would be appreciated in these trying times.

this is my first pup, Jäger. This is him the year we retired him from hunting, he was 8 yrs old. He passed away of cancer in his 12th year. He had a wonderful life for a hunting dog, lived amongst his humans in the house, ate salmon, chicken, and any game we hunted. Love by all, missed by all. Rest easy boy…
