For #ThrowbackThursday here's me climbing a tree with my younger brother below and my mum engaged in sensible adult behaviour with a rhinoceros sculpture in Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight, probably somewhere around 1980.
Blackgang Chine is the oldest amusement park in the UK and literally every child who was raised in Hampshire in the 20th century has been there, I guarantee it.

A desk and shoe rack made with free boxes from Costco and two $5 shelves from Home Depot. Detergent and dishwasher-tab containers providing the weights for the desk's "legs". #tbt
Evidence I generally travel with my trusty MSFT Sculpt keyboard, and my 24" LED TV which was a monitor during day and served entertainment after hours. 😁
This was a temporary living arrangement I had for work and such.
This is groundbreaking botanist & cytogeneticist, E.K. Janaki Ammal (1897-1984).
She was the 10th of 19 children in a mixed race family in Kerala, India, with caste adding to the discrimination she faced in life. Ammal chose a life of science over a planned marriage.
"My work is what will survive", she said. She was right. Her achievements are awesome....
#TBT to this night a few years ago when I went out for coffee with my friend, death, and death paid the ultimate price (400 bells). #AnimalCrossing#ACNH#ShareYourGames
One of the things I've seen on social media lately has been "pics of when you were 24 for 2024." So, I dug deep to see what I could find, as I was 24 in 2007.
What I found was this. This is a picture of me as a graduate student. 16 years, 4 kids, and one big old beard ago.
I look back at this and think, "Wow, I looked young."
Something from my wife's side of the family for #ThrowbackThursday this week. The young boy is now my father-in-law and that's his older sister standing behind him for the portrait. Her husband is the uncle of @MathC so now you know how we all kind of know each other.
For #ThrowbackThursday here's conclusive proof that I actually had girls in my room while at university and that they, like me, had an extreme aversion to being photographed. That's Carol and Vicki from left to right, and this was in a rented house in Fell Street, Liverpool in maybe 1991.
Attentive eyes may spot an Amiga Competition Pro joystick in the background and #Patriots calendar photos on the wall.

"Andy! Post the clip with this amp of you jamming in your Chucks! Pretty please. :-)"
Actually, the clip with the shoes (which aren't Converse but Adidas) was made with another, even smaller amp ALSO found on the street. Sadly, it eventually died and could not be fixed. But not before this video was made. :-)
