    So I watched (admittedly dozed through) the first few episodes of the new season of this afternoon.

    Is it just me or does there seem to be an extraordinarily number of characters/plotlines?

    Aside from bewilderment, it also just seems to cut into the drama, I didn't have that pull of ooo what happens next? what is this about?

    Curious what people not mentally exhausted and half gorked on weed are thinking of S3.

    @dabertime @vlrny We actually use subtitles for almost everything but baseball, mostly because we're usually doing something on our phones at the same time as we''re watching the show.

    The reason we don't do it for baseball is because the subtitles are at the top of the screen and wind up writing over the scorebox. Plus, they're often wrong.

    It's not a app, but my LUG has been using it since the pandemic began, and it's still working well for us.

    Most fanciful ant adventure stories shrink the humans down to ant size. I prefer to scale the ants up to human size.

    I think it presents fewer problems, and better explains the increased intelligence of the ants. Ants are among the most intelligent of insects even before you account for the complex decisions made on the colony-level. Nest site selection (when a mature colony moves) is very sophisticated.
