Zwei Dinge finde ich hieran bemerkenswert (aber absolut nicht überraschend!):

  1. “Einkommensstarke Haushalte profitieren überproportional von Subventionen” - No shit, Sherlock. Das ist das generelle Problem beim MIV, aber besonders bei der Art der Subventionen, die gewährt werden (siehe Pendlerpauschale). Das könnte ja bei der SPD mal endlich zu einem konsequenten Umdenken führen.
  2. Bemerkenswert, dass diese Studie vom BMBF durchgeführt und finanziert wurde, die PM am 22.4. rauskam, und ich jetzt zum ersten Mal durch Stefan Rahmstorfs Toot darauf aufmerksam werde. Dabei liefert die Studie alles, was es für konstruktive, lösungsorientierte Verkehrspolitik bräuchte: eine Problemanalyse, ein Monitoring-Werkzeug und Lösungsvorschläge. Alle halt nicht besonders beliebt beim Bundesbenzinministerium und im Club, der Forschungs- und Benzinminister:in stellt.

Mit dem Verbrenner wird es ausgehen wie mit bleihaltigem Lötzinn. Das wurde weltweit praktisch ausgerottet, weil die EU es für ihre Produkte verboten hat.
Wenn eine gewisse Zahl an Regionen oder Städten in der EU Verbrenner nicht mehr zulassen, werden zuerst die Zusteller, dann Speditionen auf elektrische Angebote umstellen. Da typische doitsche Autoys i.d.R. nach kaufen, dürfte dann auch die Überlegung “Wir könnten ja mal einen Städtetrip nach XY machen.” die Kaufentscheidung stark beeinflussen.
Das war: Der Verbrenner tot Teil 3829. Da kann die CDUFDP so viel heulen, nörgeln und bremsen wie sie wollen.

Falls wir als Spezies eine Zukunft in relativem Frieden und Wohlstand wollen, müssen wir unseren Lebensraum erhalten. Aktuell tanzt jedoch eine Generation Veränderungsunwilliger einen ausgelassenen Blockade-Pogo zu den Klängen fossiler Profitschlager auf den Gräbern ihrer Kinder.

Dabei wären viele wirksame Maßnahmen finanziell günstig, ja billigst zu haben: Tempolimit, ÖPNV statt MIV-Infrastruktur, Fleischverzicht, etc.

Die aber kosten Veränderung-den einen Preis, den keiner zahlen will.

Ich finde die Einteilung in “Generationen” äußerst problematisch. Meine und auch jüngere Generationen sind z.B. hervorragend darin, Unmengen an CO2 für Urlaube rauszuhauen (so ein Urlaub auf den Malediven kommt schnell in die gleiche Größenordnung wie der restliche Jahresausstoß einer Person).
So zu tun, als wären es immer “die Alten”, versperrt die Sicht auf das Problem. Es gibt Leute, die dieses Problem kritisch betrachten und ihre Wahl- und persönlichen Lebensentscheidungen daran ausrichten - und solche, die das nicht tun oder nur oberflächlich.
Wenn’s eine Kategorie sein muss, dann sollte es eine stichhaltigere sein.

Dann missverstehen wir uns beide beim Begriff. Nach meinem Dafürhalten wird Generation sehr altersselektiv verwendet (Generation X, Y, Z, …). Wenn natürlich alle jetzt Liebenden gemeint sind, stimme ich zu. Allerdings könnte man dann auch einfach von ‘uns’ sprechen. 🤷

I think with these little 6 digit codes from a dongle or a little app is a good hack to somehow fix our huge security and identity issues on the internet. But there are two implementations that make my blood boil every. single. time.:

  • not accepting ENTER as confirmation of the entered 6 digit code (you need the mouse, arrrrgh!)
  • just autoloading after the 6th digit is entered, because no-one ever mistyped anything.

Wer vom #Einzelhandel hat sich nur die Anordnung und den Typ solcher Abstellmöglichkeiten für Fahrräder überlegt?
Bei #dm kaufen bestimmt wenige Radelnde ein. Die Läden sind in Kombi mit #Lidl #Aldi etc. auf den #MIV getrimmt.
Deshalb sind diese "Dinger" und die Verortung im Grün nur als Alibi zu sehen. Schade ums Geld!

Radabstellanlage direkt vor dem Eingang von DM in Dornstadt. Es handelt sich um Radklemmer, die ebenfalls in einem Grünstreifen mittig untergebracht sind. Der Grünstreifen ist ohne Bäume, jedoch auch mit einem ca. 5-7 cm hohen Bordstein eingefasst.

Nun, ein Blick in die Stellplatzsatzung der Kommune könnte einen Hinweis geben. Möglicherweise wird nur eine Zahl an Fahrradabstellmöglichkeiten gefordert, keine dezidierte Fläche. Und wenn für die Genehmigung nur die Ständer gezählt werden und die Funktion keine Rolle spielt, kommt auch sowas dabei raus.

Fahrradständer bei Bauhaus in Darmstadt, halbüberdacht, dafür keine Felgenbrecher und eine E-Bike-Ladestation. Etwa 30-40 Plätze und etwas unter halb genutzt.

The mechanism is called Schengen Information System (SIS) and any Schengen member can issue bans that all apply Schengen-wide (not EU-wide, as not all EU member states take part in the Schengen area and some Schengen participants aren’t EU members, it’s complicated).

I’d be really curious to see the justification for that entry though. Since Abu Sittah went to Den Haag in Jan 2024, this entry must be very recent. As of now, the incident does not seem to make any waves in German media. It’s mainly a UK/France issue at the moment.

Because the accent describes the pronounciation of the e. In Liège it’s close to the German ä. In liégeoise, it’s an actual e (simple e w/o accent is close to the German ö ou more so to the e at the end of words).

Why that vowel shifts exactly, I can’t tell. But after a while of speaking French it feels logical.

Würde euch beiden Recht geben: eine Stadtradelaktion im Juni bringt überhaupt nix. Mastodon becoming a US entity with a neoliberal board of directors and the goal of growth über alles is the issue here folks, not whether Eugen and company are compensated for their work. Of course they should be and well too. Or is that a privilege reserved only for the mediocre yes-people at the Googles and the Facebooks of the world?

@aral Very specifically, this is a German, not an EU, fuck-up. The German tax codes defines a very narrow, and very 1950ies view of what’s a charitable cause and the Federal ministry of finances has not been moving on this point at all. Notably, other charities with political intent had their previously granted status removed (check Campact for instance).
There’s another big issue with this in general, and that’s an EU issue: There is no way to set up an EU-wide charitable cause entity. So you’d have to run 27 entities to get tax deductability (is this a word?) in the entire EU.
While it’s sad to read this, it’s absolutely understandable that they took this step. The implications … yeah, yet another Mozilla or Wikipedia foundation with questionable priorities decoupled from the actual project.

But please bash the German government and only then the EU ;-)

@aral No, tbh, that’s not how that should work imho either.
They way it should work is for now adding FOSS to the list of charitable causes unter §52 Abgabenordnung. Then work toward a European charitable entity (we already have the SE), say a Fundatio Europaea or (FE). The only reason we don’t have this yet, is because it was not pushed as much as the corporate SE. Once that’s there, all EU member states can extend their regulations on tax reductions for charitable causes to include FEs; and the EU could, where it’s actually collecting taxes (which are very few occasions), do so as well.

Solche Kanten sind lebensgefährlich. An einer Stelle wo man sie nicht vermutet. Mitten in der Pflasterfläche, nicht am Belagübergang. Tagsüber, Nachts und bei Gegenverkehr kaum zu erkennen ohne Warnung.

Das ist auch bei weitem nicht die einzige Brücke mit solchen "Feature."
