in 2022 91 cyclists were killed in traffic accidents, while every year in average 2.5 people are killed in collisions with cyclists.

So what has Iain Duncan Smith added to the latest criminal justice bill... a specific offence of causing death of a cyclist by wreckless driving?

Nope, an amendment introducing a specific crime of causing death or injury by dangerous cycling.... driven on by (primarily) a single case from 2016.

Today we mark 76 years since the , or catastrophe, when over 750,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their homes and countless villages were wiped off the map during the establishment of the State of Israel. The Israeli government has continued the Nakba by carrying out a policy of land expropriation and deprivation of Palestinians’ fundamental rights from 1948 through today. (1/4)

The business sector has woken up to the fact that the Tories various policies to wreck the university sector is actually bad for business;

a group of international firms have written to Rise Sunak warning that further curtailing student visas & the resulting (deepening) funding crisis for universities will reduce inwards investment.

The problem is the economic madness of wrecking higher education has been clear for ages; the Tories just don't care about the economics

A couple of pretty spots passed on the way to the viewpoint. Can anyone save me the trouble of identifying these purple flowers? I saw them safe from human hand, tucked into the rocky opposite side of the canal, in a shaded spot

Lush, shaded, narrow portion of canal, beyond point where barges can travel, desnely banked with overhanging ferns on each side. Shade by woodland all around. Canal path curving to left. Good eyes will spot a small black bird flying away, low over the canal waters, in midfield

But, the Q is whether the sado-monetarists care about such evidence or are happy to continue with the ideologically driven economic modelling that asserts greedy workers as the ket cause of inflation?
