@amxmln thank you! I didn't know @penpot had a whiteboarding feature
Yes I looked at Excalidraw, but for some reason I don't know, when I save it and try to reopen it, it says the file - the same one it just saved in an excalidraw format - is invalid. I scrolled through their GitHub repo, but couldn't find any solution to it
@alx@penpot actually, I’m not sure if they have one. 😅 But I guess you could use it as a whiteboard relatively easily, just like you could in Figma before FigJam was introduced. 😊
Oh that’s weird. 😳 Hopefully it’s just a very temporary bug…
@amxmln I'm exploring @penpot which looks very nice, but as I'm planning to use this board for a workshop where there might be non-designers and especially non-UX designer, I need something a bit more intuitive (though I'm really liking penpot!)
Excalidraw might really be the answer, but I need to figure out how to maintain the board for future access!
@alx I'm not sure if attendees need to sign in, but https://meet.jit.si/ is a good option. If you install your own instance (it's FOSS), then no sign in required
@adelgado I can find simply the whiteboard. Is it something I can access and prepare before the meeting, and then remain accessible when the meeting is done? Does it allow for download?
Sorry, to ask, but I'm looking for something that can be used independently from the meeting software, as the workshop I am planning will be done in during various events which have their own videoconference tool of choice
@alx the service in meet.jit.si is free and available, you can try it now. Maybe there is someone else from the #jitsi team in the fediverse that might see this and help you out
@alx and do you know https://alternativeto.net/ ? If there is a product similar you can search it and find other similar ones that might have the specs you need
@flowchainsenseisocial I am trying to ditch Figma since they integrated Open AI features as opt-out (instead of opt-in) and drafts cannot be excluded from AI scraping.
