I was very briefly in a discord group for writers that I’d been invited to join. Someone posted something which included the word “bullshit,” and the discord host said there was no room for such language as it was a “family-friendly” forum, something that was definitely not mentioned before I joined up. 🤔 Instead of creating new terms/words for AI and LLMs that have run amuck, I think “AI bullshit” and “LLM bullshit” both roll off the tongue rather well. You may optionally shorten bullshit to “BS” or even the 💩 emoji if you prefer. I encourage you to call people out on their bullshit when they are abusing this autocompletion technology.

En 2 mots : l’IA a de forte chance de ne servir à rien en dehors de quelques niches, pour le moment est juste une machine à bullshit et fantasmes SF claqués que nous vendent à toute force les dirigeants de ces boites. On nous assure un avenir saturé d’IA, mais en définitive très peu d’applications pratiques apportent vraiment de la valeur…
L'IA sert à pas grand chose en définitive et pourrait conduire à l’éclatement d’une gigantesque bulle financière.
Son autre usage — bien plus consistant — est d’enrober sous une excuse technoïde des décisions et pratiques visant à accélérer encore l’intensité de l’exploitation de la main d’œuvre tout en faisant pression à la baisse sur les rémunération.
