"Montrer les collections médiévales" -> on attend vos réflexions sur la façon d'exposer les œuvres du Moyen Âge, sur les discours induits par les expositions, les collections des œuvres de la période, etc.
Info on historical collectors & other collection agents affiliated with the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin was transferred from local wikis to @wikidata to help #accessibility & #reusability of #data, for example, as a resource for transdisciplinary #provenance#research.
I'm teaching a new #class "Solidarity Memory Work"
We'll learn about #solidarity#movements in allied professions (academic history, journalism, etc.) then discuss (1) how to actively #document and #preserve current movements and organizations, and (2) activate that #records already in #collections to motivate and guide contemporary organizers
Feeling thwarted by the 404, I suddenly remembered there are plenty of curated feeds over in Collections for us to browse. Have updated one of mine to reflect newer communities.
Appeal: does anyone have any juicy photos of museum/collection textiles that I may use in a training session? (With credit, obviously.)
I'm after:
👔 packed/stored textiles (stored well or poorly, your choice!)
👚 examples of different types of historic and modern textiles
👗 examples of damage to textiles (stains, tears, pest nibbles, anything!)
🧶 identified fibres under a microscope
During the freeze this week, a pipe burst in the ethanol storage facility used by the UT fish, reptile, and insect collections. The specimens are fine, as it's just metal shelving and sealed jars, but the building itself is damaged in a way that might shut down regular research activities for a few weeks to months.
Molto fiche le raccolte (collections) di pixelfed, simili alle board di pinterest. Contrariamente alle storie, che vedrei bene nel cesso della storia, questa mi pare una funzione utile.
👾 Hey retro gamers, are you into baseball? Here are a couple baseball games for the NES. I remember playing these with my friends since they were on a #littleleague team. Baseball is a 5 screw cart. The stickers on LLB says #VideoVillage .
👾 Hey retro gamers, it's cold today 🥶. I pulled a couple more NES games off my shelf. Double Dare & Wood & Water Rage. Both r fun but physical challenges get repetitive on DD & music drives me nuts on WWR.
👾 Hey Retro Gamers, Happy Weekend! Today I pulled down a couple different NES games from my shelf. MicroMachines and Pac-Man. Both decent games, however it is almost impossible to get this MicroMachines cartage to play. I cleaned it with alcohol, no luck. Any other ideas?
👾 Hey retro gamers, today I pulled a couple NES games from my shelf. They are two really good titles. Eliminator Boat Duel and RoadBlasters. Two great games, I still enjoy them a lot to this day. If you like racing games, seriously try these!
👾 Hey retro game fans! Todays pull from my NES shelf are two great games. One of my favorites for the NES is Guerrilla War. I never stopped playing this game! The music is also great for NES, it will get stuck in your head for days. Jackal is similar to Guerrilla as gameplay goes. Another great game!
👾 Sup Retro Gamers! Today my shelf pull is a couple Game Cube games. Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut & Eighteen 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker. Unlike American/European Truck Simulator, this one you race trucks. Sonic Adventure is a fun game, but I still like Sonic Heroes better 😋.
👾 Hey Retro Gamers, Today's pull from my shelf is NES Mappy-Land & Sesame Street 123. Sesame Street 123 features 2 kids games to teach simple numbers & maths as well as simple shapes. Mappyland however, is still fun to play today & is still challenging (imo). If you haven't tried Mappy-Land, I would recommend it.
👾 Happy Monday Retro Gamers. Today's games I grabbed off my shelf are NES Mickey Mousecapade and Yoshi's Cookie. The Mickey game I never really enjoyed. Yoshi's Cookie I really enjoy playing now vs when I was a kid, it was a bit challenging.
👾 Hey retro gamers, I'm a day late but here is my NES Friday the 13th game along with another great game, Karnov. These have always been a couple of favorites of mine for the NES.
👾 Hello Retro Gamers! Today I thought I'd dig into my SNES shelf & post 2 random games from there. Donkey Kong Country 2 & F-Zero.
I posted earlier in the week about my history on F-Zero games. Love them! Donkey Kong Country 2 I love but I was late to the game since I only recently started playing it. I was missing out on such a great game for this whole time!!! It is a great title & still fun today.
