The good video game news of the day from me is that I finally got the roll I wanted and needed on my weapon in Diablo IV today after spending a total of 360 million gold over the course of nearly 2 weeks constantly re-rolling one perk over and over and over again.
When I started my #Amiga voyage I did not dream of playing anything more complex than It came from desert or Beneath the Steel Sky. But here I am, playing #Diablo on it. 🤷
Finished playing #Diablo on the original #Playstation. Game is a surprisingly good PC to Console port from the late 1990s, and it supports 2 player couch co-op! I still think the first Diablo is the best of all the Diablo games. It’s very difficult and not forgiving. Newer Diablo games feel too easy to me... #RetroGaming
⚠️ Just got this e-mail from Blizzard. The Battle.net Authenticator will be DISABLED on January 5, 2024. 2FA will be removed, you can no longer login and your password will be reset automatically. "All users must migrate their Battle.net Authenticator to the Battle.net Mobile App."
What could possibly go wrong? 🤯

Hello everyone! We're very happy to join the Gamepad.club community here on Mastodon. Give us a follow for news on #WorldofWarcraft, #Diablo, #Hearthstone, and as much #TTRPG coverage as we can get away with.
I managed to get my season 2 Diablo IV character to level 100 last night.
Seems Blizzard also changed the Living Steel drop amounts from chests yesterday. So every chest in Hell Tide now drops 1 Living Steel and the Living Steel chests drop 5 instead of 3. Super nice change.
Now I need to focus more on getting better gear and really making my build all it can be.
I've been having such a super fun time in Diablo IV Season 2 so far.
Pre-season I only got my character to level 84, which was a GRIND! Season 1 I only played just a little and got my character to level 33. Season 2 I'm currently at 97 1/2 and hoping to get to 100 tonight or tomorrow if all goes as planned.
Are you playing Diablo IV currently and if so, how are you enjoying it?
With Diablo getting its official RPG, I believe we're seeing a meaningful shift of RPGs not being just merch tie-ins but effective world building tools (and, seriously, Diablo desparately needs someone competent to make sense of that world).
Nearly all RPG writers not named Monte Cook are amazing at spinning up interesting game worlds that also function mechanically. And they do it at orders of magnitude less cost than any other entertainment product, too.
Morning Folks! This past weekend was #BlizzCon2023 and I genuinely thought it was one of the better shows in quite a long while. It feels like the vibe has maybe changed at the company.
